This is a TES Sideblog, the main blog attached to it is: @shiveringspoon
I tag a bit weirdly, but here are some:
#rambling scrolls thoughts (may or may not be related to TES, usually just my thoughts.)
#oc ramblings (general oc rambling.)
Feel free to ask or dm me anything, I appreciate it immensely when people interact with my blog.
Below the cut are the OCs, I talk about the most:
My Nerevarine: Antonius, he is half Imperial and half Dunmer. He is actually Nerevar reborn, but he isn't very happy about knowing that he used to be a War Lord. His tag is: #oc: antonius walks in mists
My Hero of Kvatch: Alix, they are a Breton. Even as a mortal they were really powerful but they are also the youngest out of all my Prisoner/player character OCs. Their tag is: #oc: alix trenelle
My Dragonborn: Arvid, he is a Nord. He is more of a pacifist and tries to not fight but he will do self defense if talking isn't working out.
The reason why he never takes his helmet off is because the little goggles are prescription glasses and also attached to his helmet. Without it, he can't see for shit.
We see only very few instances of glasses in TES, none of them make it to a 2D/3D model to my knowledge, which leads me to believe glasses have an extremely specific enchantment on them, and therefore are really freaking expensive to make.
How he got these glasses is unknown to me, but it's fun to speculate if this is the case. Was he lucky enough to find/steal the helmet and discover he needed to see better? Did he threaten someone to make it for him? (I think unlikely tbh, but who knows, anything can happen)
Either way I kinda want to write a fan fiction where he finds out about his blindness. I think it'd be funny. A short story, maybe.
Oh hey those are my pictures lol. My buddy hedy asked me to take pics and just happened that Mihail's chicks were every where I went to take pics. Also Screen Archer Menu made all of it possible because I could pose the chickens and move them so easily.
I can't remember right now if Clairvoyance also makes sounds, but I feel like for blind people it could be very useful, if it does. Not sure how exactly it would work in lore, but it would definitely make navigating on your own easier. Maybe a staff which also works as a white cane, that casts Clairvoyance and lightly vibrates when going in the right direction or pointing at things.

since my Tumblr-specific hiatus, i've had a lot of WIPs accumulate in my files. i'll be sharing handfuls of them each WIP Wednesday! for now, we'll start with these:
🖤【Casran and Stumpy】 - for @neonbeasts, as part of an art trade. the rendering's been such a struggle x_x
🖤【Miraak/Robin doodle】 - this will go at the end of a mini 2-page comic that takes place post-Everlong; it's mostly just a practice page in preparation for Everlong as a comic itself... >.>
🖤【Jester lilmothiit(???)】 - a character that is part of a Curodiilic traveling freakshow group in my private tes server
🖤【Robin】 - most recent WIP that will be fully rendered. takes place pre-Everlong.
🖤【Robin's tarot card】 - it will be matched with my Miraak tarot card, along with many future ones i'll be making for the comic
🖤【Miraak and his horse, Strunmah】 - this has been a WIP for quite some time, but i'm sharing it in hopes that it'll motivate me to finish it x)
i wish i could say more abt my tes ocs but tes is one of those things where i will kms if someone feels like my ideas dont line up well enough with the canon lore 😐
this got more attention than i expected. so i will hand you my idea that ive been trying to justify, tesblr community. daedric possession. but not the normal kind! daedra thats bound and trapped within the spine of my normal mortal guy. i have spent so long looking up info on nymics and chaotic creatia and conjuration/binding ritual mechanics. i genuinely feel insane.
I'm holding a grudge against German dubbing in general, but if I had the money and patience I would start a revoicing of the German dub of Skyrim with different dialects being used.
I know most Germans will think it sounds silly and stupid to hear those dialects, but I don't care.
#meg is rambling #'but nobody likes OCs' your perspective is not a universal perspective #fandom OCs? they're a love letter to the source material and that is whimsy! even if they are tortured and put through the wringer #original ocs? they exist because of *you* and that is so creative! your brain is an incredible thing!!!!
#Imao can you tell i've read something which has riled me up a bit this morning #anyway. i love ocs. nobody will take that away from me. #btw love letter to the source material can be both positive and negative - 'i'm making this oc because i'd love to have an oc there' #and also 'nah fuck this i'm gonna make things better with my brain blorbo' #and ten million billion other reasons why ocs can be put into fandom #ANYWAY. KEEP MAKING OCS. THEY WILL ALWAYS BE LOVED BY SOMEONE (YOURSELF) AND I WILL LOVE THEM FOR YOU TOO
Look man idk. Words.

So 👏 as I'd said in my last chapter update, I gave myself a bit of a break from As Gravia Lambe and instead worked on other projects, such as the art WIP from last week. This time, I do have writing to share - however, of a slightly unusual kind.
Those of you who know me from other places may be aware that I've worked on several UESP pages and r/teslore posts on the subject of metaphysics (namely the Lore:Walking Ways, Lore:Mantling, and Lore:CHIM pages, all of which were co-written by myself and my friend Entity, aka @kicks-lots-of-ass). Those of you who know me from discord specifically, however, may know that Lore:CHIM in particular has been on my hitlist for a proper, top-to-bottom rework to dispel a large amount of common misconceptions, misconceptions, and to overall share a more well-founded and textually supported reading of the material base on a contentious topic rife with misinformation.
For the past four months, we have been slowly but surely chipping away at this behemoth of a project, and so today I'd like to offer a small taste of the kind of writing you may expect to see when it is done:
Several sources describe mortal and divine perspectives on time through the metaphor of dream, separating the universe into the “waking” world of mortal (or linear) time and the “sleeping” world (or “divine dreamworld”) of the gods. This so-called “god place” is the divine and atemporal existence of the Dawn Era that predates the creation of mortal time, and exists eternally and concurrently with the manifold timelines of Nirn. Unlike in the waking world, where time progresses in an organized linear manner, time in the sleeping world is described as completely lacking in causality and duration, instead happening “all at once”, and so a god may choose to deliberately wait an eternity in the dreamworld yet find that no time at all has passed in the waking world. In this dreamworld, the gods are said to be “asleep” yet “very busy”, moving the invisible strings in the Mundus through their divine spheres. However, direct interaction with mortals requires them to adopt the trappings of linearity, and the subsequent loss of divine perspective is frequently likened to the amnesia one experiences upon waking up from a dream, with physical incarnations of the gods sometimes not even being aware of their own being such.
I am not actually sure who to tag here given the topic, but any reading eyes are appreciated nonetheless. I often thought "What the actual fuck is a Jill?!" whenever I come across it on here. After looking up the dragons lore page and seeing how they're not official material, I was a bit relieved.
No, I don't want there to be female dragons. Why? Cuz I think the concept of dragons only being "male" is quite interesting.
They wouldn't understand things like gender, I like to think that they're actually genderless. But because of their voice, mortals referred to them as males, so that's what they go with.
So I like to think, that dragons who are more interested in mortal affairs, would try different pronouns too.
Basically, I believe in she/her dragons, but don't you dare make them have two sexes
The tags are truly enlightening, I agree with both bald Miraak and Dragon Priest Miraak. Also, we truly be playing dolls with this man, dressing him up and giving him a makeover. I truly agree. YES, moisturise that old corpse!!! Make him the way you want him to be!!! Be free!!!
I haven't participated in a WIP Wednesday/Whenever in five-six weeks? I just didn't have the energy for really making anything (art/writing). But I have something now :)

I'm practicing backgrounds with game screenshots I've taken myself. Been playing a lot of Witcher 3. Big trust the process with this wip 😅
WIP (without sketch | with sketch) & the ref screenshot
I also have short writing wip for a prompt I'm working on for Dragonsong. So we're multi-fandom in this wip post :) Diving into Lilli and gender presentation (and what it means to be read how she feels) and Miraak hesitant to be under her illusions
Words: 532 || No warnings
Lilli holds his stare. “I need a glamour checked.” He says nothing. She continues on before the silence could lengthen into refusal. “Properly checked. I cannot assess it myself.”
“A mirror would seem the obvious solution.”
“It is not.” Too sharp. She forces the next words out more evenly. “Mirrors reflect what they are shown. Illusion does not work so simply on its caster.”
One of his brows shift very slightly upward. Lilli cannot tell whether the expression means skepticism or interest. With Miraak the two often look the same.
“So,” he says, “this is vanity.”
The word cut like a blade — not because it’s shouted, not because it’s cruel, but because it is one of the possibilities she had come here dreading. That he would reduce it. Flatten it. Make it trivial by naming it something decorative.
Her spine goes rigid before she could stop it. “No.”
Miraak’s eyes narrow a fraction. He noticed the reaction. Of course he had. There’s very little point, Lilli is beginning to learn, in hoping he might miss anything placed directly in front of him.
“Then explain it better.”
For one ugly instant she considers leaving. The thought flashes bright and whole: turn, open the door, let him keep the ring and his suspicion and all the rest of it. She could test the glamour elsewhere. She could wear it unverified. She had managed without his help before.
But the thought curdles almost as quickly as it comes. Because that’s not true, not entirely. She had managed without him before because there had been no him to ask. That is different.
Her fingers curl once against her palm. “I said I need it checked,” she answers, quieter now. “Line. Voice. Proportion. Whether it holds properly when seen by someone who is not me.” A beat. “That is all.”
It is not all. They both know it.
Miraak remains seated, but his attention has changed again, the earlier chill giving way to something more intent. Not softer. Never that. Simply more exact. “This particular glamour,” he says, “must matter more than the others.”
She does not comment.
[...]
“Very well,” he says. “We will make one matter explicit, since you seem determined to require clarity tonight.” The words should have sounded mocking. Instead, they land with a formal weight she recognises too late.
Lilli stills.
Miraak opens his hand again and looks down once at the ring before lifting his gaze back to her. “This is temporary.”
“I know.”
“You will not test what else the absence allows.”
A flush of anger licks hot and immediate beneath her skin — not because the warning is unjustified, but because some part of her had hoped, idiotically, that he might not need to say it aloud. “You have already made your opinion of my character abundantly clear.”
“And yet I find repetition useful where survival is concerned.”
She almost snaps back. Almost tells him that if she had wanted to breach more than sight, he would never have known enough to prepare for her illusions. The words arrange themselves with bright, poisonous ease.
She does not say them.
That, more than anything else that evening, seems to catch his attention.
