How Teldryn met Mahlaan
I have been on Skyrim brainrot for the last week and recently hired Teldryn Sero on this play through- absolutely love this Dunmer!
So I offer a short story of the two under the cut, enjoy!!
Some recent Joshi line arts from just before and during the Dragon Crisis.
The answer is that he's fucking about, he's always fucking about.
Why Do I Do This?
Teldryn Sero x Reader
Teldryn realises he’s accompanying a lunatic. Alas, you’re his lunatic.
Teldryn didn’t like being called old.
So what if he’d met Jiub? He wasn’t the first who still walked around to boast of it. There were Dunmer here who remembered the flaming pumice hail of the Red Years. He did too, though he was little more than a runt then, but that hardly made an elf old. At most, he preferred the word “experienced”. You had to be, if you wanted to come as far as he had.
But Mephala, if he didn’t feel every moment of his two centuries weighing him down every time you pulled something like this.
‘You’ve been up there for hours, you know.’
He didn’t bother raising his voice. Even if he was capable of your yelling— or the “Thu’um” as you called it— he doubted much of it would reach the dragon circling above. Or you, clinging to its back.
He’d been looking forward to slaying it, but by the third dragon you’d chosen to fly on in circles, his hopes had dwindled.
You waved down at him. Of course you did.
He allowed himself a defeated raise of his hand.
“Why don’t you join me?” You’d asked once, blowing on your ash-yam stew.
“That’s not going to happen.” He’d replied decisively, chewing on hackle-lo under his helm.
A mercenary without self-preservation was often a very dead one. He’d learned that early into his career. It was why he’d refused the “traditional” Nord in the first place.
Though, and he thought of this quite often, where was the self preservation in following a fellow capable of shouting Reavers apart? A fellow who proudly displayed every manner of Daedric weapon in their living room? A fellow who could command dragons to give them airborne piggy-back rides?
No, that wasn’t very smart of him at all. But here he was, sitting on a boulder in the middle of Morthal’s swampy nowhere, while you terrorised the common folk below. The woodcutters ducked when you swooped too low. Teldryn realised he was grinning.
Fine. Maybe there was a bit of fun to this.
… there was a lot of fun to all of this. Whatever “this” was. He wasn’t too sure after the caves.
You didn’t need to come back for him. It was his fault for getting caught in that damned trap.
He thought he’d done it then. That that would be the end of “the greatest swordsman in all of Morrowind”. To giant cave-dwelling bugs, of all things.
But you’d come back anyway, hurling flames at the fleeing Chaurus Hunters.
He wasn’t too sure his other patrons would have done the same.
The groaning dragon descended after the last round over Morthal.
Teldryn rose to his feet, stepping a good distance away.
He could have sworn the winged beast clambered for hold on the mud before it went soaring again— far, far away from Morthal. And you, possibly.
You regarded him with the easiness of nights spent on the road, huddled in hastily arranged tents.
’About time.’ He shifted his weight onto one foot, hoping you could feel his frown through the helmet. ‘I was just thinking about setting camp.’
‘Camp?’ You look around the swamp.
The sun was setting. The mists were rolling in.
You knew what else did.
‘You want to camp here?’
‘We’ve had a long day.’ He nodded towards the clearing. ‘That excuse of a town isn’t too far from here. We should get moving before sundown.’
With a sigh you reached for your pack, hoisted it on your shoulder. ‘Right you are. At least then we’ll be getting a proper bath, eh?’
Teldryn snorted, already stomping through the high grass, his gaze fixed on the horizon. ‘Assuming this wretched place can offer that at least.’
He knew why he travelled with you. You paid well. Very well. There was much treasure to be found when your companion raided a slumbering dragon-priest’s hold every week or so.
That was all there was to “this”.
But when you pressed the ebony dagger into his palm as you passed him, even when he had a perfectly serviceable elven blade at the ready, Teldryn found he wasn’t so sure.
The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

Ya boi happy about fresh grills without any obvious detailing on what tooth it was that he had to get replaced. Mostly because that shit will be decided when I actually write said scene...
(It's the rightmost incisor)
He's got a snapped leg, and got his head punched in enough times to make him lose all his remaining brain cells. We gotta let him have sparkly teeth as a consolidation prize. So like 5 gold ones and one silver one for fun. Because he's a princess etc.
(Text says "Fixed". Nothing particularly profound.)
What is a thoughtful gift you would give to your wife, and your husband before her?
Oh hello, Interesting question- ah..
Sydari likes flowers, specifically lavender but really loves anything that's purple. She likes to grow them all over the house, and make perfume from their petals. Before we were like proper together, and I was still trying to win her over, I'd place ones that I'd collected into her pack. Usually I'd put it between one of the books she was pretending to read for my sake. I still do it whenever we're travelling, or just because.
I love how she lights up when the pressed ones fall onto her lap.
She also really loves jewellery, which is something we both share. I remember not long after we first met, she was very interested in the glass beaded chain that I hang my madstone from. I had a set of Igihul (Magnus' Eye) earrings made for her. Urshilaku blown glass is bar none. She still wears them.
I also had a tiara made for her, which I gave her right before that whole disaster that was the Thalmor Embassy. She couldn't take much of her stuff in, so I had it enchanted with equivalents of the ones she normally uses in her armour. She usually wears it for parties. It's nice. She deserves sparkles.
I also left her one of my old rings as an apology after I bailed on her when we first met. It's an old thing that has a rejuvenating enchantment that I swiped from some Mousey fuck back in Seyda Neen - um... don't tell her that... she still wears it from time to time.
Erra and I share an enthusiasm for arms and armour, and we would frequently gift each other accessories related to that. Though Erra was more the one actually making these things, I would like... design stuff and have it made. He's never quite been the sort for lavish things, but my Kiang loved a well-made boot or set of gauntlets.
One of the first things Erra told me about himself was that he wanted to raise sheep in the Ascadian Isles, since he liked the fields of flowers that overlook Lake Amaya. The ah... southern shore I can't really be around but the northern shore, which is where Erra actually liked camping around in the first place, is fine.
During my ah... negotiations with what remained of the Hlaalu Councillors, I managed to get Duke Vedam to sign off on a parcel of land near the Fields of Kummu that I later gifted to him. It was a guarantee of lands for the Ahemmusa to roam and permission for a farmstead. I just wish we got the change to actually do it. He wanted to wake up overlooking the lake every morning and for me to teach him how to swim properly. Oh, and I made him a Dwemeri prosthetic for his small finger after he lost it during the Erabenimsun Offensive. It was similar to the one I use for my foot. He ended up folding a few enchantments into it that helped him channel his magicka better since he can't do it without a conduit.
I ah... I used to draw him pictures of sheep and guar, actually I also draw Sydari pictures of rabbits too. They both seem to like it, so I just give them drawings of things...
🌚🌝🌇
Went to Solstheim just to hire him. He doesn't need helmet, so I removed it...
