Lowkey what the hell have I been doing and why the hell haven’t I drawn Teldryn Sero. I adore him so much and I’ve never drawn him- I gotta fix that, though I’m probably gonna be too busy and tired tomorrow after all the stuff I’m gonna be doing. Ugh. Only now does my art inspiration come back when I don’t have time to draw. :,3
So I now have finished said line art of Josh wanting gossip... I'm currently playing around with his "I fought a burning pirate ship, and it blew up in my face- in every sense of the word" look for the end of pt.1 of SM so…
He's got "good luck and fast healing" charms in his hair XD
And he really wants to hear about fucking over one of the wolf twins in exchange for a Skyforge sword... Not that Josh really would find a Skyforge sword useful (just not his style of blade) but it's the principle of the thing that matters.
Well Hi again friends!
@saltymaplesyrup and @kookaburra1701 tagged me this week! I'm gonna go ahead and tag @crimsonsairina, @archangelsunited, @oblivions-dawn, @juliette-has-a-pencil, @readwithsofie, @paraparadigm, @viss-and-pinegar, @thisauthorisscreaming and anyone else who is working on a creative something this week.
Still working on the thing for AU. I decided this story is now going to be at least four parts, because a certain character required his own POV for things to fall better into place. I don't make the rules. (: So last week's WIP was and is now technically part 3. Here is a snippet of part 2 for you, happening in the past compared to last post.
Fandom: TES
Genre: As many tropes as I can feasibly include
Title: To be revealed at a later time.
Word Count: 542
Without further ado...
Athis didn’t even have time to wipe the sweat and ash from his eyes before Sero collapsed in a heap. Without making a conscious decision, he found himself running toward the fallen mercenary. His heartbeat drowned out all other sound as his sword slipped from his grip and landed on the ground in a puff of ash behind him.
Nothing else mattered now—not fatigue, not the burn of his muscles, not the sting of scrapes, burns and bruises from the Ash Spawn battle. Athis had to do something to save Sero.
It wasn’t about the fee he’d paid, or the fact that he had no idea what else to do to get to Farkas. Something ached behind his sternum at the simple thought of losing someone who…seemed to care. Who even did that anymore, especially a sellsword, of all people?
I can’t leave him like this.
He fell to his knees beside Sero who was still face down in the ash. Athis turned him over, and, blessedly, the mercenary let out a groan, eyes fluttering open for half a moment, blind with pain. Then he was still again, but for the slow rise and fall of his chest.
Breathing, at least. There’s that.
Anxiety clawed up Athis’s throat as he peeled shredded fabric out of the gash on Teldryn’s ribs and more blood oozed out. The wound was already dark and coated with sand and ash, huge swaths of scarred skin going an alarming deep purple by the second.
I…I don’t want him to die.
Athis’s hands shook now, more with fear than anything else. It was ridiculous, he realized. Sero wasn’t a shieldbrother. He wasn’t really even a friend—not yet, anyway. Athis had lost so many in his line of work. All the Companions had, as did soldiers and bandits and everyone on Nirn, the way life was these days. Death was everywhere, and fighters of any kind knew the risk before they took on jobs. Rationalizing about this did nothing to calm him, nor to help him order his thoughts into any semblance of what the hell to do about this situation.
Athis didn’t know fuck all about Restoration magic—couldn’t even cast a basic Flames spell—let alone any Healing—even if he wanted to. He grit his teeth and stood on unsteady legs. No matter how tired he was, nor how sore, he’d have to get Sero to this Neloth person over in Tel Mithryn. A strange wizard could do more than Athis could ever do.
How fucking far away is that damned mushroom tower, though?
In the meantime, there had to be potions somewhere. At least, Athis hoped there were—but then again, he’d been stupid enough to wander into these wastes in leather armor, as was so graciously pointed out to him before. With the sound of Sero’s sarcasm ringing in his head, Athis walked through ankle-deep drifts of ash back toward the tent Sero had set up the night before, all the while stumbling over his own feet and tripping on shattered heartstones. He knelt on the furs that had served well enough as a bedroll and rummaged through both their packs until, blessedly, two meant for healing came tumbling out. Sero had brought it.
So I figured I should have a line art of Josh wanting gossip... so I drew this, I'm kinda playing around with his "I fought a crumbling pirate ship and it blew up in my face" look for the end of pt.1 of SM so…
