Hello! This is your Prefect Cheshire Cat otherwise known as Chess or Chessie for short! Heyyyy~ Prefect Blue Fairy checking in! Feel free to call me Blue or Fay! My pronouns are she/her. I used to post once upon a time, but I no longer have any of those socials as I eventually moved on to writing for irl friends. FIRST REQUEST!!!! YAY!!! I'm so excited to get back into writing and this was the perfect place to start, thank you so much for such a fun ask! Jack is a little OC in the end but I felt like maybe I could let it slide lol! I will have banners for characters soon to make the posts a little more appealing but I didn't want to keep you waiting any longer. Without further ado here's a lovely Jack scenario!! - Chessie

“Happy Birthday!” you cry out with glee and watch with delighted amusement as Jack startles. He crosses his arms and gives you a nonchalant look but you can see his tail wagging ferociously behind him.
“You didn’t have to get that excited over it. The day’s not really that big a deal…” his voice trails off and he looks embarrassed to have been recognized so extravagantly despite his birthday wear being a dead give away for the special day.
“Of course it’s a big deal! We’re birthday buddies!” His expression changes and one of his ears flicks inquisitively.
“It is?”
“Yup!” you respond with a smile, eager to get to the part where you give him his gift. You put a lot of thought into it and even though your budget is limited you are sure you nailed it.
“You’re not wearing birthday attire?” he questions and you cringe a bit knowing that despite it also being your big day, you didn’t get the same treatment as the real students. This morning had been spent primping to try and appear as good as possible to cover up for the fact that you were missing out on a unique new outfit. Although you were a good sport, it was a little frustrating that you had to dress in your normal attire even though you took the same classes and did the same work all of the other students did.
“I told ‘em I would steal one for ‘em but nope, plain it is.” Grim brushed up against your leg as he bounded forward to meet Jack who had begun to frown.
“I don’t think stealing one would have worked out the way you think it would have Grim.” Jack started, “But it’s true that you should also have a birthday outfit provided to you like the other students. I don’t care much for dressing up myself but it should be fair that everyone is recognized equally for their birthdays.” His face scrunched into a scowl as he watched you shrug.
“Well I think it’s special enough that I have a birthday twin who I am friends with. I’ve never had someone to celebrate with before who also had an October 11th birthday!” you cheered up as you spoke but Jack didn’t seem convinced. His ears flickered to the side and back before he slapped a fist into his palm.
“I got it.” he pulled his birthday sash off of his outfit and put it over your head instead. It was adjustable so you managed to make it the perfect fit. You beamed and spun around to show it off, not minding at all that the color was Savanaclaw yellow instead of Ramshackle themed. The excitement must have been flowing off of you because even Grim jumped up and admired the shiny fabric without a word of complaint.
“Better.” Jack nodded stiffly though he had a faint blush on his cheeks when he noticed other students staring. He straightened his back out and glared at anyone who dared snicker at his generosity.
“Thank you Jack! This is exactly what I wanted!” you didn’t even have to emphasize as this truly was the only thing you would have asked for, if given the option. “Speaking of gifts! I have yours!”
You held out an unassuming brown paper bag that he hadn’t even noticed you carrying. He took it after a moment, seemingly surprised you had thought to get something for him and peeked inside. His tail started swishing back and forth even faster than before as he reached inside to pull out a square shaped pot that had clearly been handpainted. The pot itself was the same yellow as the sash you now wore and had a small silhouette design on each side. A pair of ski’s, the Savanaclaw logo, a magift goal with a broom next to it, and a wolf with the words “Jack Howl” painted underneath it.
“I got a little help with the designs but I thought it would be cute! You can choose whichever one you want to display and I got a pot big enough that you can put a winter blooming cactus in there if you wanted. I heard you mention one the other day and thought the flowers would go great with the yellow.” you excitedly rambled while he turned the pot from side to side. His eyes were wide as he inspected each design and then finally put the pot back into the bag carefully.
“Thank you! This is exactly what I needed to get one; they do better in real pots then the plastic ones they are sold in.” he smiled widely and looked up from the bag to you. “Happy Birthday, y/n! I hope it’s a special one just like you’ve made mine.”
