Hello Tornado!

Silver Stone Rescue has taken in their second rescue horse, this time a beautiful stallion! Tornado has had trouble with his previous owners, and the previous owners before that, but he's finally found his forever home.

When someone is willing to give him a chance, Tornado is a total sweetheart, and immediately wanted to meet the entire family.

Rosy's time in the saddle with Peach is paying off. She's finally opening up and showing her confident side!

"Here is a snippet from a ride Peach and I went on today! She's getting so much better at having a rider on her back. We still need to work on mounting but she's improving so much. The work Rosy has been putting in with her has also helped tremendously!"

Welcome Home Peach!

Finally the day has come, the first horse at Silver Stone Rescue, Peach!

Peach is a shy Holsteiner mare with a lot of past trauma. She's already doing such a good job trusting Chrissy and Rosy and settling in. Peach is very scared of the world around her, but her first week at the ranch has been filled with joy and safety. She's surprisingly calm when getting her hooves cleaned, and feels very safe in her stall. The first ride was definitely a challenge for her.. as it was for Chrissy, but she got many pats afterwards! Peach will one day learn that no one at Silver Stone Rescue want to hurt her.

There are many plans for Peach and future horses here at the ranch, and this is just the beginning of the rescue center!

Goats on the Ranch!

Saltene and Smore have arrived on the ranch. Saltene is a small black goat who has already escaped once.. and Smore is a tricolor bundle of joy whose very sweet to Rosy!

We're getting closer and closer to seeing horses on the ranch...

Chores are Beginning

Everyday feels the same to Rosy.. but it's taking the ranch a long time to prepare for horses. Luckily they've been pretty busy, and time can pass quickly before Rosy can finally have her dream pony!

Welcome to Silver Stone Rescue,

a small ranch run by Chrissy Goldenflower, the owner, and Rosy who takes care of the horses and spends her weekends running the ranch.

The yard may look small, but there is plenty of room for a few future rescue horses, mini goats and sheep, and of course the ranch dog Rootbeer.

Inside the barn there is a humble nectar bar run by Chrissy, who hasn't gotten much attention or practice yet.. Upstairs of the barn is where Chrissy and Rosy live in a small open layout. How are they making money to run the ranch? The short answer is that they're not. They're doing everything they can to make small profits before they can start their horse rescuing business, like selling prairie grass and nectar at local markets.
