Rico noticed the sickened look on some of the Garrison soldiers’ faces. They were presumably not used to seeing this much gore, not prepared enough despite all the psychological exercises. She saw a couple of troopers vomiting off in the cleared area and understood. They could have been rookies or simply not used to seeing this much grotesque imagery given the relatively mundane life inside some areas of the walls.
The blonde looked back at the Titan when she heard the hissing of steam escaping from its nape. The sound caught the attention of the other soldiers who were busy with the bodies, they appeared more tense as they feared that it could have been something else other than Ymir. Even when discovering that it was simply their Titan companion, they still had their doubts with the presence of a powerful being such as her.
Rico approached the woman who had emerged from the now-evaporating form of the Titan; a butterfly emerging from a cocoon, Ymir appeared to be relieved that she was free from what appeared to be a claustrophobic casket. The squad leader looked to the rubble that Ymir was unable to pick up and nodded for the size of the indicated rocks were way too big for the small form of the Titan to carry.
Rico shook her head. “I’m afraid Eren is too busy having discussions with Commander Hanji and the other Scouts. The Queen is probably attending to different matters.” She replied, unaware of Ymir and her feelings towards the newly-crowned queen, Historia Reiss. “Do you need help in getting yourself free?” She asked as she unsheathed her blades.
as if rusty drill plunged into the caverns of ears , SHIFTER recoiled in disgust at the mention of YEAGER’S other “ duties , ” as far as she was concerned ; he was skipping out on the mess he made , the lives lost — & he was to blame ... no , they all shared blame , guilt & those exact thoughts plagued her mind like some parasitic disease .
❛ no . ❜ response gruff & betraying no amount of anger , frustration had already flooded her demeanour , that much was clear .
limbs ripped fiercely from GOLIATH husk , visceral-like tendrils splaying & disintegrating amongst the mess of steam . one final pull & slender frame was torn from disgusting CREATURE — backwards , spine impacting `pon terrain with a sickening thud . sickening indeed , as the urge to vomit rose to the back of her throat — prevailing with a hard swallow , it ceased to push .
weary , rustic hues came to admire the sky , hues of orange & red bleeding into the clouds — night was approaching , but not before the sun gave out it’s last light .
her limbs seemed to have frozen in place , arms spread out either side , resembling a cross . exhaustion wracked her bones in bouts — sleepless nights , days in which she worked herself to the bone , hands bloody & scarred & yet ... she saw no end for their turmoil in sight . perhaps it was just pessimism ... perhaps it was the truth .
❛ are you & your SOLDIER’S done yet ? i’m starvin’ . ❜
