their names are Layla (Light) and Shannon (Shadow) they live in a world where everyone's funky colored folk but they're both on the lighter/darker ends of the spectrum. there's tons of other people who are very dark/very bright though they're not rare or anything.

Shannon bartends at a club that's a common gathering place for businesses to interact with clients. Layla is the head of advertising and sales for a company that sells refrigerators. She travels a lot for work and she was meeting with the club owners to discuss selling them a few fridges. She saw Shannon (or Shay) doing her bartending thing and was very interested.

She came back the next night and tried to flirt with Shay but she came off kinda creepy and almost got security called on her ass. she was lucky she got a second chance to act normal.

They've been married for 11 years. Shannon is 43 and Layla is 46, they still have their same jobs but now when Layla travels, Shay gets to travel with her to see the world.
