it's quite jarring how bright and colorful and whimsical the show is but the undertones and subtext of the show are quite sad. Very interesting first episode. It's something i definitely want in my fave couple's resume.
in just like 10 minutes of love you teacher you get hit in the face with the completely infallible acting chops of perthsanta
LOVE YOU TEACHER // OFFICIAL TRAILER
its fine i'll just cry every episode of lyt
I’m so pleasantly surprised by Solar’s pre-accident characterization as someone who is warm and bubbly but also kind of cheeky, someone who loves working with kids, someone who is pretty nurturing to his partner but seems to do it because he genuinely enjoys doing it, and someone who is an openly, playfully and confidently sexual being. They wrote a whole-ass person!

This episode of Love You Teacher taught us that perfection is only a perception we can have, but people deal with more than what it appears to be. They may look like they can handle everything with a smile, but deep down they also have doubts and insecurities. Also, everything works better when you ask for help when you can't do something. There is no shame to have. We all need help once in a while. Don't think that being independent means that you can't rely sometimes on others: that's just a lie.
Love You, Teacher is really saying that love, in all its forms, matters—that we can't go through this world alone, that needing help doesn’t make you weak, and that asking for it is its own kind of strength.
PERTH TANAPON as POBMEK and SANTA PONGSAPAK as SOLAR LOVE YOU TEACHER | EP1
The craziest thing about the first episode of love you teacher isn't even the age regression or anything, it's the fact that Pobmek is just.. cool with it. Sure, he's confused, but it doesn't even cross his mind to go back to the hospital or ask anyone for help on how to deal with this crazy situation.
I know the story is about loving someone even if they are not the same person anymore, and you'll have to put more care into sustaining your relationship, which isn't even the same anymore. But even within that, this is still a medical problem. Pobmek knows he has a head injury. Get it checked out!
LOVE YOU TEACHER // EP1
This series is going to be the death of me, I already know it
P'Dooooooome!
This is literally one of my biggest challenges, I am terrible at asking for help. The worse I'm doing, the worse I am at asking for anything. This series is absolutely nailing what that feels like. I relate to Pobmek so damn much.
The way this show is already hitting on topics like proactively supporting your employees instead of being punitive when they start to struggle, the way that being vulnerable can open doors of connection, how there are so many people who want to help you if they just knew what you were struggling with, how it's easy to make assumptions about others when we don't ever see what truly challenges them, how finding support in your community brings a bit of lightness to the darkest of struggles, the way that compassion and lack of judgment are so key to true inclusivity and lack of ableism.
Also seeing the flashbacks, and how instrumental Solar was as a support for Pobmek, but now he fears that his needing to lean on Pobmek in return is going to be too much, yet the way he reverts to a child self is, at its core, a doorway to actually ask for the help and care that he needs...
There's just so much happening here. P'Dome is really doing something unique.
As a tits girl I just gotta (respectfully) say: damn Phuwin!
