Some dialogue choices in Persona 4 give you some points towards your social stats. One of the earliest of these is insisting that the TV World is too dangerous for Chie (a girl who has taught herself kung-fu), which makes you slightly more Understanding.
The sexism inherent in "it just wouldn't make sense for a girl moving from the city to the countryside to drive the plot" is baked into every facet of Persona 4's writing.
This shadow world is just too dangerous for a girl who can perform a standing backflip, it has to be up to us: Two guys with a golf club and a pair of monkey wrenches.
As someone accurately put it in the comments, it's a game that plays at the idea of rebellion against social norms, but posits that the highest level of freedom is just accepting your lot in life and maintaining the status quo. I hate this game.
