2019 Stitch in Public Day

Here's a recap of 2019 Stitch in Public Day and a custom Wizard of Oz pattern I designed for the occasion!

Established by the Embroiderers’ Guild of America, Stitch in Public Day is held on the first Saturday of each year. This year it was on Saturday, February 2nd (also Groundhog Day), and I created an embroidery pattern to use as a program at my Library. This was my first time creating a pattern on my computer, and I was pretty proud of myself that I figured out how to do it!

Everyone laughed at me when I told them I was going to send a wedding invitation to President and Mrs. Obama. But I saw on a blog somewhere that if you send an invitation to the President, you will get a response. And we did!
