Day shift is the world of living and night shift is the underworld;
Jack is Hades (ofc) and Samira is Persephone - IN THE SENSE THAT!!! I am NOT talking about the "He kidnaps her and she goes there forced", neither a "Lore Olympus-esque" sort of vibe, in which she needs to be saved by the older, more powerful guy. No, Hades and Persephone in the way that:
Samira, day shift princess who sometimes does night shift (Persephone's journey to the underworld in the fall) and is highly appreciated in BOTH contexts, just in slightly different ways, bc of the different dynamics of both shifts. The goddess of spring and life, Samira's gentle, attentive way of tending to her patients and yet her frantic, almost manic way of working, shining in the carnage, just like a queen of the land of the dead.
