This is a mental/physical health blog, the main focus is factitious disorder but that does not mean there wont be posts related to other subjects. Mental health can be messy and i don't like censoring my reality so if that's something you don't want to read about it's completely fine to avoid my blog.
If you are reading this as a way to try to see if this blog is safe, yes, i support human rights unconditionally, fuck ice.
In case you are wondering what's the correct way to refer to me, that would be she/her.
Feel free to ask me anything or message, in general i like everyone and i'm always open to chat, even if its non munchausen related. I don't mind people venting or anything. Be aware tho that i am an adult.
I try to keep my blog accessible, and one of the best ways to do that is image descriptions. I'm not doing it to try to virtue signal or try to appear better than anyone else, when reblogging something from someone's else's blog and adding an image description i'm not trying to make a point or appear more virtuous, i simply liked your post and wanted to reblog it, my blog just happens to be an accessible blog, i do not ask anyone else to do this, i just want to do it myself. I completely understand why most people can't do it or choose to preserve their energy for something else and i respect that. There's times i don't have the energy or time, tho i often come back to add one later. Image descriptions are not just for blind or visually impaired people, they are great for anyone who benefits from them, that includes people with dyslexia who struggle with fonts, people with visual processing disorders, people with light sensitivity who cant look at their screen so they rely on a screen reader either full time or part of time, people who can see but have a complicated relationship with sight and cant always navigate the world with their sight, and autistic people, who can see and read but may not get the context/sarcasm, which is why i also put more in depth explanations to my image descriptions when i feel it's needed. And im sure there's even more uses for them i couldn't even think of, that's the great thing about accessibility, it benefits everyone. I used to be new to Tumblr and not know about alt texts for image descriptions so in some of my posts there's no alt texts, but as i'm learning i'll try to use them more. Next im gonna describe the blog icon and banner. Image description starts here. The blog icon is a drawing of a tired looking panda laying down on green grass, the banner is a drawing of an empty hospital bed in a hospital room with IV bag next to the bed, water cup and fruit bowl on a counter, flowers on a pot, painting behind the bed, empty chair and yellow light coming in from large window. Most commonly used colors are light yellow and dark brown, with the light hitting different parts of the room while leaving others in shadow. Image description ends here.
The blog name is a reference to a symptom that has been a life long interest of mine, ever since being a child.
Besides factitious disorder, i do have other health issues. I have a non fabricated mental health diagnosis that i don't want to share, and another one for autism. I have physical complications as a result of munchausen and might have cfs. (updates on this later) I can't share the stuff i've been faking because i don't want to risk getting caught.
On topic of munchausen, i figured to make clear i don't feel sorry for having it or acting on it. I didn't choose this disorder and in the end im the one who suffers most from it. I find it deeply misunderstood and hope to clear up some stigma about it as well as show people they're not alone by blogging about the reality of living with it.
