What research actually says about felines

For all the ailurophobes out there! (Yes, there is a word to describe a person who hates or fears cats.) Every stupid argument cat-haters make against cats to say dogs are better is wrong. If humans disappeared, cats would outlive dogs because they instinctively know how to survive on their own (aka they are independent). Which, in my opinion, makes them the smarter animal. I'm not dog hating at all, but I DO hate this culture of bashing on cats; it is foolish and ignorant.

This passage is a good comparison: "Dogs have evolved to be 'almost obsessively' dependent on humans, Bradshaw says. In unfamiliar situations, they look to their humans as sources of stability and guidance, much like small children. Cats, on the other hand, 'prefer to deal with things in their own heads. 'A creature that fails to run to your side in a strange situation does not necessarily have a cold, unfeeling heart.’

Some couples show up at parties and hold hands the entire time, talking mostly to one another. Others split up when they arrive, mingle, meet new people. But they still leave together when it ends. Your cat's a mingler—an explorer."

Not only does Game of Thrones have one of the best, most compelling story lines in the history of television, it is also beautifully and flawlessly executed. You can feel in every episode how meticulously thought out each and every shot was and the music that went with it. The directors, cinematographers, actors, costume designers, music composers, and set designers really are world class and the best in the business!
