1989 taylor version!!!

this album is, by far, my favorite taylor swift album and I am so incredibly excited for the release and the new vault tracks, of which there are 5!!!!!

castles crumbling ft hayley williams

this song feeling like the direct opposite of long live, and written from the same headspace as nothing new. It seems like this was written right after the 2009 VMAs. and contrary to what i wrote in my original tracklist post, i love hayley williams in this song i think it adds so much and she sings her verse so beautifully!

2. foolish one

this one is just so relatable for me, it feels very much like a time portal back to 2010 when taylor releases the original album and gives a very much hopeless romantic theme

3. I can see you

I can clearly see why this one was left off the original album. At the time SN was originally released taylor was very much playing into the good girl princess persona, and this song would've broken it though it is a complete banger

4) when emma falls in love

i wasn't expecting what we got in a good way, but i'm not in love with it. the line "like if cleopatra grew up in a small town" is so odd to me!

5) electric touch ft fall out boy

not many notes on this it was a pretty mid song, but i do think that including fall out boy didn't really do anything for the song and it would've been better just her

6) timeless

this song is cute but also so cliche and i just can't picture myself choosing to listen to this song

BONUS NOTE:

relating to the lyric change in better than revenge, i actually like it, its very creative and poetic. my one thing is i wish she had released it like that originally, because listening to it in the song it feels off because i'm so used to the mattress line

Last night during the show, taylor premiered the I Can See You music video!!! this is the video that we saw leaks from in liverpool.

it features Joey King and Presley Cash, who were both in the Mean music video, and Taylor Lautner

plus, another fun easter egg: in the last scene when they're driving off, the sign above reads 1989 tv.

taylor also added long live with the koi pond guitar to the setlist last night and wore a new purple speak now dress!

looks like taylor will be headed to asia, australia, and europe throughout 2024 which luckily for us gives us a lot more opportunities for taylor content and hopefully some TV announcements!

Speak Now Vault Tracks have officially been revealed!!!

There are there are two collaborations on this version, Fall Out Boy and Hayley Williams of Paramore.

Even though I feel these collaborations do slightly take away from the power of this entirely self-written album, I can understand her choice and am so excited to hear each of these tracks!
