Jenny is really sad about something and Will and Horace give her a big hug. GROUP HUG

“I just don’t know what to do, guys, and I realize you just–*hiccip*–just came here for lunch, but when I saw you–” Jenny started full on sobbing at that moment. She raised her hands to cover her face, hunching her shoulders as she released all of her pent up frustrations on her visiting friends.

Will looked to Horace with a question in his eyes. The knight shrugged, and motioned noiselessly to Jenny. Agreeing silently, Will moved forward, and wrapped his arms around his friend. Horace, not too far behind, wrapped his arms around both.

Within their arms, Jenny sobbed harder.

I can just imagine modern!will and Horace having a sleepover and not actually sleeping, but instead binge watching stranger things

like

at 2 am, when their minds are officially not working, the stranger things theme comes on. Will sees it and just says “‘Stranger things’?? Don’t you mean…“ Then he whips his head around at Horace and is all like “rANGER THINGS” and falls off of the couch

oh and Horace brought a bunch of food to help them last the night, and they both end up getting it everywhere. Then, the next day, Halt comes and visits and sees a mess and two unconscious boys and is all like “bOI”

(hello friends i know it’s been a while and i’m sorry about that! I survived my first semester of college and I’m on break now but I haven’t driven in so long my arts are suffering. I’m relying on good ol’ will once again to get out of this slump so feel free to send any requests! i need inspiration oh so badly. For now here are some random things from my sketchbook!)

I have long said that in order for any comedy to truly succeed as a story, there has to be meat beneath the jokes. There has to be that moment when it is not funny any more.

This. This is that moment.

#honestly even though this is one of the best scripts there ever has been  #that is the greatest line  #it’s /groundbreaking/ in terms of how it frames vengeance quests; temptation beats; inigo as a comedic figure throughout the movie  #you know because this is a happy book (film) that inigo will get his revenge  #but will he get JUSTICE  #will he get ABSOLUTION  #will he get CATHARSIS  #those are the things we don’t know  #and that line sells it more than any of the previous scene (x)

Today the Department of Beguiling Book Art is catching up with the latest topographical book sculptures created by Montreal-based artist Guy Laramée (previously featured here). Laramée’s ability to carve detailed ice caves, mountains, and valleys out of reclaimed books grows ever more impressive.

“One of his favorite mediums are bound stacks of old dictionaries and encyclopedias which he carves using a method of sandblasting to which he later applies oil paints, inks, pigments and dry pastels, crayon, adhesives, and beeswax. When photographed up close the works appear almost realistic, as if the viewer is looking at aerial or satellite topographies of Earth.”

I opened my eyes to see the Attolian already sitting up, wrapped in a blanket. I began to unroll my own.

“Kamet,” said the Attolian in a low voice, “I am sorry. I hope you will forgive me.”

 I looked up at him, speechless. How many times had he apologized to me already?

…

I’d paid little attention, assuming his apologies were the result of habit, not intent. How many times does a slave hear the word “sorry” made meaningless? “I’m sorry, Kamet, but you must fetch another scroll, bottle of wine, set of linen, robe from the tailor. Kamet, I am sorry, but the accounts must be completed by morning. I’m so sorry, but there’s no bed for you. Sorry, Kamet, there’s nothing left for your dinner.” How many times as I had bowed my head and said, “Yes, master, of course, of course.”

I opened my mouth, and no words came. I didn’t know what to say when “sorry” meant something, what to say to an apology that was so obviously sincere.
