Apathy
| Dynasty |
She watched the shifters slowly dwindle: first 20, then 15, then 10. Not because of death but abandoning of the one place they had called home, the Riverhouse. Where they went or why they left mattered little to her: and the fragile sigh of relief in her heart was promptly squashed and ignored.
It had been four years since she left them and joined their enemies the Nightstalkers, and her hatred had dwindled to a mild irritance with the realization that their supposed betrayal might have been merely ignorance. Did they simply not know that the NightStalkers had originally spirited her away on that fateful day? And that the only reason she remained with them was because of their failure to even look for her when she suddenly vanished (but managed to find Ban, mind you) and, as an afterthought, the leaders’ reverence of her?
She couldn’t be sure.
Not that she cared, or anything. Never enough to confront them and discover the answer for herself, at least, but perhaps enough to stop antagonizing them. And so, instead of taunting them and attacking them, she held back, keeping an eye on the Riverhouse with careful reserves.
She could not care for them. She could not miss them. Not when doubt about their ignorance lingered in her mind. It was something she simply couldn’t afford.
She convinced herself instead to feel nothing but apathy, but as she regarded her former home with a sort of nostalgia, she found it harder and harder to keep those emotions at bay.

Shiba can get very, very competitive with video games sometimes.
She's been banned from playing a few for this reason.
She's also been banned from using a wii mote without wearing the strap. TVs have been destroyed. Children have cried. It was a dark day.
Petrichor is slightly damp to the touch, being a dragon of rain and all. It's said sleeping under his wings invokes the serenity of a warm bath.
Alec has to wear significantly thicker clothes than most other people due to the fact that he's a demon: he's used to, ahh, slightly warmer climate than this.
This results in him wearing long sleeves or jackets in the summer and layers of sweaters and/or jackets and pretty much anything that will keep him warm in the winter.
He hates winter for this reason.
Cae is notorious for walking into glass doors / flying into windows, probably because of the whole part bird thing. Luckily the worst that's done so far is give him a broken arm once.
When they're teenagers and traveling the worlds, Sione and Caelan make a habit of flying to the tops of the tallest buildings and taking pictures of the view- and occasionally selfies because honestly selfies from that height are at least 300% more awesome.
Sev, despite being a 6'5'' brute, is a petulant child who refuses to eat sandwiches unless the crusts are cut off.
Corrick hates spiders- especially if they're big and especially if they're hairy. Tarantulas are basically hell in a tiny earthling form. The most he's ever done to get rid of them is thrown a shoe at them before backing out of the room: he tries to get Cel to get rid of it for him.
Even though he finds her to be absolutely terrifying at times, Zaire admires Jade a lot and expresses those sentiments to Kamaria frequently.
Calibur is the type of person who would drive the speed limit in a racing game.
Rhyse almost always dresses like it's summertime- even in the dead of winter. The heaviest amount of clothing they've ever worn is a scarf around their face accompanied by yoga pants and a t-shirt.
One time when the twins were only just beginning to walk, Dynasty was in charge of watching them outside, where there happened to be a little flock of geese on the lawn. Dynasty, thinking them to be just harmless birds, didn't see this as worrying- until Io tried hugging one.
Long story short, Io almost got her nose bit off, the kid's hair was matted and tangled with feathers, and Dynasty now understands the horrors that are geese. Io doesn't remember this at all, but Dynasty's forever wary around the birds, giving them a wide berth when possible.
While she neither likes nor dislikes the particular subject, she finds science to be rather amusing. To her, it's mortals spending all this time trying to decipher the universe that she helped maintain.
Rhyse’s main motivation for keeping their pyrokinesis under control (aside from not burning people, that is) is so that they can return to their family, since the remnants of their family left after Rhyse accidentally burned down their house.
i wish people would stop using my name for their weird fanfics
Last time I checked names aren't exclusive to one person though? If you really don't like it, you can just block the posts from showing up, it's not that hard. :\
