Seoul National University of Science and Technology researchers develop 3D-printed carbon nanotube sensors for smart health monitoring
Conductive nanocomposites based on polymers, especially those that contain carbon nanotubes, hold great promise for the creation of wearable technology, flexible electronics, and soft robotics. However, because CNTs have a tendency to aggregate, it is challenging to achieve a consistent dispersion, making them challenging to deal with. Furthermore, control over the form and dispersion of CNTs is limited by traditional approaches. Researchers are using 3D printing techniques like vat photopolymerization (VPP) and additive manufacturing (AM), which provide great design freedom and high printing precision, to get over these obstacles.
