I don’t play pretty much any pet sites anymore and have no plans to ever really return but Scav is such a Big Thing that I decided what the hell. Its a fun tradition and I love that its so much more chill now!
This year there weren't a ton of tasks I could do, like 8-9 total (5 done so far) compared to last year’s 19 tasks finished. But I still had fun with what I managed to do, for the most part.
The terrarium was super easy and fun, knocked it out fast. The EBP ended up a little crooked but overall much better than I expected. Eventually hopefully that’ll actually make it to Bex, along with past Scav shenanigan items :P
The doll was my Planned Effort Task this year. Normally my effort tasks look like garbage when the Scav Stress has passed but I really love how it turned out! She’s a gift for Cate, modeled after her Teo HPH. The wings were a pain (I HATE wings!!!) but overall I’m happy with her. Her spots, eyes, bell, hat, and ribbon all glow in the dark because glow in the dark is fun.
Lastly we have Hell Task... for some reason I thought it would be a good idea to make the giant Cupcake Plushie.... by hand, without a pattern, and with no prior experience in cupcake sewing. I must have spent over 12 hours on this monstrosity over the past couple days and it looks terrible! Like 90% of all the fabric I own went to stuffing it. I’m never going to sew anything by hand again but once I get a machine I’ll make a new frosting cover because I am holding onto this trainwreck for years after all that work!
Bonus fun: In typical Scav fashion I realized where I messed up the frosting as I finished (notches to round bottom of each frosting layer, no notches to round the top), when it was far too late to do anything about it )<
