I feel it’s reasonable to update that I’ve had a job in 3D CGI for a few months now and it just now occurred to me that this would not have happened if I hadn’t gotten obsessed enough with Ninjago to learn to use 3D software for the sole purpose (initially) of making Ninjago fan content

I’ve always wondered why does the constrictai and the Anacondrai generals have anti venom in their staffs. Even though it is totally pointless and useless.

Both tribes don’t have any powers that need reversing.

I mean think about it what purpose does the constrictai tribe have for anti venom. They just squeeze so why do they have it.

Same for Anacondrai because they have no ability that needs to be reversed with anti venom. So why is it there.

I’m unsure if anyone’s said this yet, but I have the actual answer to this. If you get squeezed by a Constrictai, you are unable to fully recover and will continue to have trouble breathing forever unless you acquire the anti-venom. So they do actually have an ability that would need reversing, it just never happened to come up in the show. It was mentioned in some sort of promotional material or on the LEGO website or something, I forget.

The Anacondrai anti-venom just makes you taste bad so that the Anacondrai can’t eat you. Again, I don’t think this actually comes up in the show at any point and was mentioned on the description for the Anacondrai staff on the LEGO website.

If Ninjago serpentine are anything like real snakes, though, you could accomplish the same thing with some hand sanitizer, so that one is a bit pointless.

The brief explosion of everyone and their mother reblogging old Long Con posts was actually rather useful, since I have a few old ideas that I never stated or elaborated on as well as a few new ones now that I'm less busy, but I was wondering if anyone would still remember the events of the AU after, what, a year? Now you could say I have a pretty definitive answer.

Yasur's post about Lloyd vs. Egalt's teaching methods little earlier reminded me of this, but I'm making a separate post since it's not really entirely related, and I'm probably restating a few of her points anyways:

The thing that had me grinding my teeth in Dragons Rising s2 was the fact that, like... Egalt wasn't actually wrong. I do think that Arin would have benefit a lot from going back to first fang and learning the basics! Egalt was just a MASSIVE ASSHOLE about it. Like I imagine the audience was meant to, I didn't really like Egalt too much until Wyldfyre gave a new perspective on his whole "wasting my time" shtick, but even before that I had to admit that he was actually right about that.

Of course, even if he HAD been nice about it, there's still a good chance that Arin still would have been to deep in the "everyone's relying on me" pit for it to do anything, but still. Worth a shot.
