A University of Wisconsin-Stout student from Saudi Arabia died one day after being assaulted on a street in downtown Menomonie.

An assailant described only as a white male about 6 feet tall assaulted Alnahdi shortly after 2 a.m. Officers found Alnahdi unconscious and bleeding from his mouth and nose before he was hospitalized and died from his injuries Monday.

I love these photos so much because they were taken on the day Sanski Most was liberated after 3 and a half years of Serb occupation. I watched a video that was filmed on this day when the Bosnian Army entered this exact place, it’s a village called Kamengrad. They went to a house of one of the few Bosniak families that remained here. At first the people were scared but when they realised that these are Bosnian soldiers they came outside crying in disbelief and hugging and kissing them, calling everyone in the house telling them that it’s okay “they’re ours, they’re ours, they’re our soldiers”. The people were so happy, but the pain in their eyes killed me.

My uncle was also here. He’s not on these photos though, these are mostly men from Bužim. But he was there when Sanski Most and Ključ were liberated. He was also there when ARBiH was about to enter Prijedor. But then the International community stopped all fighting and that never happened. The West really screwed Bosnia over in every possible way.
