The Nicki Minaj vs. Funkmaster Flex Spill

So, everyone heard the interview tonight with Funkmaster Flex and Ms. Nicki Minaj. I think the whole situation was a messed up one. Peter Rosenburg the man who actually decided to take it upon himself to slander Minaj's music while introducing another performance , should have stood up and apologized. At that very moment his personal opinion was not needed and did not matter. It wasn't professional. I think Wayne made the right decision by pulling Nicki off that stage because she was disrespected. Who wants to perform somewhere that people are talking shit about their music? Rosenburg should have apologized or lost his job simple as that. At this point I still do not see what issue Flex had other than trying to get some buzz on his show. I just wish people would let Nicki Minaj live! If you don't like the direction her music is taking stop listening! I'm sure the "old Nicki" everyone is referring to is still there but as an artist she has grown and taken her music in so many different directions. Its called growth. She reaches many audiences. Minaj is making MONEY. I support her. Always have..Except that performance at the 2012 Grammys, that kind of freaked me out. Other than the demons. Do your thing Nicki!!!! - @prettygirlsings

Guess who's beefing? It's no surprise here that the latter come from @ChrisBrown, but what sparked these tweets is what the real surprise is. Frustrated with his latest failed attempts to return to the music scene (or as some would say "become relevant") @ItsBMcKnight fired off a few shots at R Kelly, as well as, Chris Brown. While I will agree that Brian McKnight is an R&B legend who has had multiple hits and without a doubt made his mark in his genre, this still doesn't excuse his recent efforts. Seriously? Who wants to hear someone who's resembles their elder sing about how a woman's vagina works. While it may be similar to today's music as far as raunchiness we at Rated R Radio prefer the Chris Brown approach. No not hitting, but hits we can relate to. Granted McKnight probably isn't aiming at my age class with his musical efforts, however, there's no doubt that in the world of blogs and gossip sites the generation after him is in control. What do we recommend? Go back to the artist we knew and loved. We don't want to hear you sing about pussy. We want the "One Last Cry", counting down from 10 "start back at one" Brian McKnight. Let's leave the bed wetting and stripping to someone with a new school flavor who's image allows him to sing such risky lyrics. Oh and another thing... If Rihanna can forgive and forget you need to as well. Basically... Let him be great dammit!

The Shot Heard Around The World

On our end it started with a simple tweet:

Most people were initially confused assuming that the long worn out "beef" between Lil Wayne and Pusha T was squashed. Until this happened:

A diss from Pusha T that sent the internet into a frenzy. And then it all started to make sense. That tweet initially set out by Wayne was nothing but the first bar to his quick one minute thirty second diss track in response to the G.O.O.D Music artist.

While Pusha T clearly has the harder track in sense of ride worthy it's unclear at this point who the real winner is. Why? Because if you know anything about these two artists you know that their full energy wasn't put into either diss record. Maybe Wayne doesn't feel like he has to and maybe Pusha isn't trying to piss so many people off. In the sense of Young Money vs G.O.O.D Music (which this is clearly turning into) we already know that lyrically the G.O.O.D Music roster would smash. Common vs Drake. Pusha vs Wayne. What is this really? A publicity stunt? If so both parties are getting exactly what they wanted out of the deal. Everyone talking about them.

D'Angelo Comes Back in GQ Magazine!!!!

The last time I heard about singer D'Angelo was on the news, where they were showcasing his newly gained weight, horrible straight-back cornrows that looked like they had not been done since forever. I was incredibly shocked when I found out that GQ was giving this guy a 6 page spread in an upcoming issue! SIX whole pages!! Taking a look at the shots I saw he is back, the weight is gone and he is on his fresh!!!! I don't think the ladies will be let down !!!! I will say though, I'm waiting for him to cut those braids and go for the grown and sexy low-cut! If Trey Songs can do it, I know D'Angelo definitely can. Below are the before and after pictures! Lets just first say congratulations to Chris Brown for winning best R&B artist which was well deserved. He is definitely representing for the VA team and we all appreciate that! Now, that outfit that he wore last night was a FLAMING hot mess!!! Tupac did the bandanna thing around his head in the 90s and I didnt like it then. The whole outfit man Chris nobody wants to see that bird chest!! Put that away! Whoever Chris Browns stylist is needs to be fired!!! Moving on Wiz and Amber. I love these two but they looked like a mess on the carpet last night. I mean really Wiz looked country as hell on the red carpet and Ambers dress was cute but it was NOT red carpet attire and I need for them to know how to glam it up for the red carpet. Among other things I hear Nelly Furtados baby thickness was a hot topic last night. Blogs say it looks good while others say she needs to let it go. Bobby Christina was among the WORST dressed last night, I wont go ito that. Carrie Underwood looked darling in her Cinderella dress. Miley Cirus not so hot in the tuxedo dress. Good Fashion or Bad, the billboard awards were entertaining to say the least!!!!! @prettygirlsings

Terrance and Rocsi to Leave 106th and Park

So today the rumors are flying about the 7 year hosts Terrance J and Rosci Diaz supposedly leaving the popular Bet show 106th and Park. Sources first claimed the hosting duo had been fired but reports have surfaced to show that is not true. As we all know both of the hosts have other talents that they have pursued. Terrance J has displayed his acting skills in the hit show "The Game" and more recently on the big screen in "Think Like A Man". Rocsi is also in pursuit of an acting career as well. now if they leave the next hosts better be dope! We don't know for sure if this will be the last season of 106th and Park for them , but we do know that the contract is running out soon so we shall see what the deal is!!! Either way step ya hosting skills up and prepare to step up into that spot!!!!!! -@prettygirlsings
