*Fox shifts in the vents, remaining bit of donut having been finished sometime earlier. Clutching the radio tightly, he listens first in case anyone was in the nearby rooms before activating it.* "Explody?... You... I think this is working... Can you hear me?" *It whispers into the radio as it shifts to balance out its weight.*

"oh! Yes I can. It seems like it does work, what a relief."

*The Fox slinks towards a vent opening to peer out into the hallway, before slipping deeper into the vent systems.* "This is a relief... was worried it wouldn't work... are... you okay?"

"I should be the one asking you that question. I do live here after all"

"Say, what are you up to at the moment. No particular reason of course, I'm just curious about my new friends activities"

"I am... was... trying to find my way somewhere under the building... I sense my siblings down there." *A beat as Fox spins around in place, looking down the vent.* "It... is difficult... I do not know the... layout of these suspended tunnels."

"The vents and underground arnt my particular expertise, I'm sorry I cannot help you more."

"is there any questions you might have otherwise? I can answer those for you if it helps with anything."

"I... do have one, Why were you... sparking?" *A small, barely audible whine comes from the Fox at the next thought* "Are you a... machine of sorts?... Do you require repairs?"

"oh...yes I was sparking.

Its just apart of my anatomy I suppose. I've always done it.

And do not fret, I do not need..repairs..*ahem*"

"Ah... I'm... sorry for thinking you were... Just had to uh..." *A beat of Fox muttering with itself before it brings the radio back to its face.* "What uh... what does it have to do with your anatomy?... is your name, more literal than I thought?"

"Well, yes my name is quite literal. Where I'm from this sort of thing is just as normal as breathing. We spark and heat up to keep predators away."

"Interesting... What predators cause you to evolve such a defense?" *he pauses, glancing towards itself in thought.* "Are you... comfortable talking about these predators?"

"ah, right you wernt here when she was.."

"Well it would be a bit odd for my kind to be the only ones with such abilities.

Everyone has them where I am. And so the hunters are stronger, requiring us to be stronger aswell"

"She?... hunters..." *Fox pauses in thought, thinking on Explodys' words. Shifting around in the vent, the three eyed creature gazes back the way they came. Back towards where they met the sparking rat.* "... A predator of yours was here, wasn't there?"

"Yeah, I'd rather not go into detail. If thats alright"

*the radio crackles*

"I... understand." *The Fox sits there in the vent, silently thinking to itself before. With a groan, it folds over itself to start climbing the other way.* "I'm coming back... I... you do not need to share details... But... could it hurt me?"

"Hm? It? Do you mean the creatures I was talking about?

I wouldn't worry, they can only feed off their own kind. And unless you come from where I do, I doubt one would care about you. no offense "

Siblings of your own?" *A beat as Fox bends themself at horrible angles to fit through some tight areas in the vents. Slipping through before taking a moment to unbend their body parts like it was nothing.* "Anyone else you are... po-lite to?"

I don't remember them too well but I know i had some.."

" Well I suppose I'm polite to those who are nice to me. If I'm feeling nice myself of course."

"Anything you remember about them?... I... Sorry. This is a... 'per-son-al' moment, right? I shouldn't pry..." *Fox continues their journey back towards the insides of the wall. Despite how long it spent hiding in the building. It gives this... urge to go back some thought. But not a lot. Something felt right about staying with Explody.*

*the rodent sits by the radio. The static it emits is quite calming.*

*Fox tucks the radio into its fur as it slips through a hole, squeezing through the gateway from vent to 'wall'.* "I am in the wall now."

"do you know where you are exactly? The walls are a bit tricky so If you know what's outside of you I can help you get around."

*The Fox goes down, laying his head against the ground to listen to the surroundings of the wall. With all this time spent hiding within vents and scurrying from hiding spot to hiding spot. They learned how to know where they are by listening alone.* "I'm... by the front door? I hear the outside whenever someone opens a door near here."

"oh, yes, ok. So where do you want to go from there? If you have an idea of what that space is."

Where do I... go to reach you from here?" *Fox felt compelled to do as it was originally told, to follow the order... but something about staying with Explody, for a time. *He pauses in his approach, staring off towards the west side of the room... hall... whatever you call the space between the space in-between the walls.* *Something rustling gave the Fox pause.*

"I'm not expecting any other visitors."

*After waiting a beat to see if they were talking to anyone, Fox protrudes his arms. The multiple joints allowing them to snake around until he was satisfied with where they grabbed.* *It took a little bit of effort, but he pulls himself the rest of the way through the wall-space. Coming face to face with Explody.* "... I... hope this doesn't come off as... rude, but your... home feels a little... small."

"No, that's quite alright. The walls are a bit...small..for others that are not my size."

*shuffling around a bit they take a seat on the ground*

Everyone has them where I am. And so the hunters are stronger, requiring us to be stronger aswell"

"Well, yes my name is quite literal. Where I'm from this sort of thing is just as normal as breathing. We spark and heat up to keep predators away."

"The vents and underground arnt my particular expertise, I'm sorry I cannot help you more."

"is there any questions you might have otherwise? I can answer those for you if it helps with anything."
