Meet the Robinsons Headcannon and/or Sequel Proposition
Every time Lewis/Cornelius needs serious help with something important or is approaching a significant event in his life (like his birthday or something), he writes a letter to Wilbur with that day's date and the approximate time on it and then writes a different date on the envelope. He chooses the envelope dates that correspond with when he went forward to (for example, if it was three months after he returned from the future, he'd write the date three months after the day it was in the future). Then, he'd put the letter in a box. Over the years, it got fuller and fuller, and eventually Lewis forgets all about it until the day he meets his younger self as an adult. He digs the box out of the basement and organises the letters into chronological order.
A few months later, he asks Wilbur to see him in his office. Wilbur thinks that he's going to get grounded or something and prepares multiple excuses. But when he gets there, Cornelius is smiling at him. Smiling at him in a way that was so much alike his own smile, though he wouldn't have known it.
He hands Wilbur an envelope with that day's date on.
'What's this?' Wilbur asks.
'That is an excellent question!' grins Cornelius, leading Wilbur out of the room and down to the garage.
'Where are we going?' asks Wilbur.
'Another excellent question!'
Cornelius shuts the door with Wilbur inside and locks it.
'Dad! Dad, what the hell are you doing?!' Wilbur bangs on the door.
'All excellent questions!' laughs Cornelius from outside. 'Perhaps you should try and answer them!'
He leaves Wilbur locked in the garage, puzzling over what's going on. Wilbur sits with himself for a moment before remembering the envelope. He tears it open and inside is a piece of paper with a time and date in the past written on it.
Wilbur looks up and his eyes lock onto time machine number 1. Cornelius modified them so they wouldn't work without keys after the whole fiasco and he keeps them on him at all times.
Wilbur gets up and opens up the top of the vehicle. To his surprise, Cornelius has left the keys on the seat. He grins and begins to input the date and time into the machine.
Minutes after Lewis in the past wrote the original letter, Wilbur pulls up outside his house.
Time falls away in both time-periods and Wilbur and Lewis get to grow up together, with Cornelius giving Wilbur the letters on the right days.
And now ladies and gentlemen, Disney, I hope your reading this because I'm about to save you a lot of money on pointless live-action remakes: I propose we make the above cannon and make a sequel to Meet the Robinsons.
When they get older, Lewis sends Wilbur a letter because he needs, dare I say it, girl advice, which is something Wilbur can give all-too-well by this point. He needs Wilbur to help him get with Franny.
BUT WE DO A BACK TO THE FUTURE
I propose we go along the lines of the first Back to the Future film but instead of Marty, George and Lorraine, we substitute Wilbur, Lewis and Franny! Just think of it: Wilbur messing up his parents marriage by accidentally charming Franny and almost erasing himself, so he spends the whole film trying to get them together and CAN'T YOU JUST SEE IT! But it could have loads of lines that are Back to the Future references like someone randomly saying "Great Scott!" etc. This is what we need to spend Disney's money on! Help me promote this!
