i remember you once mentioned wanting to make little designs based on chess pieces, do you have plans to do that still? even if its just for fun? or is that at the very bottom/back of the to-do list you currently have? like, is it just not a huge priority right now? hope it doesn't sound like i'm pressuring you to draw them, i'm just curious overall about what your take on them would be since everyone has their own designs and whatnot for how they imagine chess pieces. its fun seeing every artists interpretations!! do you have any ideas written out about them currently? :]

I kiiiind of did some back in 2021! I made twins, based on a white queen & black king! Unfortunately I haven’t been able to figure out names for them yet so I sorta halted development on them :’)

Here’s the concept designs, I wanted them to match with the same outfits but opposite colours to show the duality!

what do you like about creating characters? this is a very generic question i know, but i'm curious and i'm finally dropping in your ask box LMAOSKDNK but do you like thinking of their designs more? and drawing/planning it out or do you like writing their backstories more? and adding depth first and THEN you draw their design?? anything you don't like about either? sometimes its hard for me to make a design fit a certain backstory for some reason lmao, so then i get stuck design wise, and other times i like designing charas but then i have no idea how to flesh them out as an actual character LMAOOSKDJNKS

Tbh my favourite part is the conceptual aspects! I get an idea and I’m like “ooh this would be really cool for an OC”, and then I make something based on that! I also love giving them silly little personalities and silly little backstories, but my biggest weakness is it’s so hard to get my ideas into actual words hvndjbb

Sometimes a design comes to me in a vision and I slap it onto the page super easily and I’m really proud of it, and then sometimes if I’ve spent too long fleshing out a character Before designing them, it ends up being really hard to make a design I like because it’s not living up to how I imagined them in my head lmao. You would not believe the amount of very important characters for my world/stories’ lore that I’ve had for like 5+ years who I have NEVER drawn

I usually imagine personalities and backstories in terms of.. scenes and Vibes, which isn’t very helpful for writing it down jvndjbbjdnvh. My OCs are soooo developed in my head but when I go to fill out a profile, it all vanishes from my brain

I love playing with my OCs like dolls and making AUs for them and then AUs of AUs. We’ve got a high school AU, murder mystery AU, eldritch horror AU, sci-fi AU, etc! I put my little self-made blorbos into so many scenarios just to see what happens and what sort of dynamics could happen if OCs from different worlds get to cross over >:)
