The collection described in the book was given to the museum in Poltava by the Ukrainian noblewoman, philanthropist, and collector Kateryna Skarzhynska.
Not the same shot but you can see how when the sun first rose it lit the ridge red and then later the ridge was dark but light now faded to gold was on the fields in front of it.

Since I’m showing colors of the ridge and the light, here’s a picture showing the color it was when the sun first cleared the horizon, a deep magenta, almost purple.
