The cuff of his sleeve was yanked up so he could peek at his watch. He still had enough time for his break before he had to return to writing a new work of art.
“I am. I just got out of class actually.” She nods, looking off in the same direction then quickly back at him. “What about you? I mean were the other members around before I stopped you?”
“No, I came out by myself. My nose made me do it. I wanted to find something yummy.” His tongue flicked over his lips once he remembered.
“Ehh, you’re still my favorite.” She nudged his side. “I didn’t know if you’d be comfortable with me calling you anything else. But, now that I know you don’t mind I won’t call you that anymore.”
“Okay, good. I hope so.” A small giggle left his lips. The stretch of his mouth puffed up his cheeks.
“Are you here by yourself?” His eyes gazed off to the sun that had started to set on them.
Partially covers her face with her phone, giggling at the noise he makes. “Because, you could have thought I was crazy or something.”
“Isn’t it more strange that I went from being your favorite to a stranger?”
“Because…I don’t know.” She laughs, shrugging her shoulders, the apple’s of her cheeks flushed.
