Sometimes you see something and you just have to have it! I am a big fan of Nobrow press and their gorgeously printed books, the attention to detail and the roster of illustrators makes them one of the best publishers of new work out there. Browsing through the latest Nobrow compilation I realised that i spent all of my time thinking that Jon Mc Naught (of Dockwood/Pebble Island fame) had won, and that i wished Blexbolex had some stuff included…. then i saw this man’s work- Raymond Lemstra. What a talent! I love pretty much everything about them. I had to buy this book- its one of Nobrow’s limited edition ‘Big Mother’ books- an A3 printing on deliciously heavy stock featuring Lemstra’s disturbing and yet strangely satisfying work! And the cover has spot UV that makes it sing! 

this one gets pride of place on the shelf… if i can just find a shelf big enough!
