One of my very best friends turns 32 today. When I gave birth to my baby girl that night, I never would have fathomed all we have gone though since then. Fights that would rival a world war. Right now, I am supposed to be on a plane headed to my hearts home. But thanks to COVID cases rising, passport renewal taking 12+ weeks, and forces beyond my control, I am not able to go. While I know there are far worse things that could be happening, I am going to take the time to be a little selfish. I was so ready to be back where I feel I belong more than anywhere else in the world. I will still get back, hopefully this April. Yesterday was an emotional day. For over the past year, I have been helping develop the Digital Communications department. I was blessed to be promoted to supervisor over the most wonderful group of individuals. Yesterday was my last day with my team. I am now supervisor over a Late Stage Collections team. While I know this is a new challenge for me (I have not worked late stage in over 2 years), I will miss my Digital team tremendously. For my last day they gifted me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a basket of wine and chocolate!! The card made me cry. My goal was to make my team a family and I hope I succeeded.
