アマビエ
Long ago, during the Edo Period of Japan, in a small village within the Higo Province, the citizens alerted the official to a strange glowing light coming from the ocean.
Rather than brush aside these claims, the official followed the villagers to the coast, and there, they were met by a strange creature, calling itself an "Amabie".
Rather than something menacing, the Amabie was more belevolent, and informed the village and official that it meant no harm.
"Good harvest will continue for six years from now," the creature informed. "But should disease come and spread, simply draw a picture of my image, and show to those who are stricken." And with that, the Amabie fled back into the open sea.
A little drawing of the Amabie I have done after watching a video by an artist in YouTube called Drawing Wiff Waffles, and she drew a little sketch dump of some Amabie, so I couldn't help it.
