Anygays I need to go and take a biiiig nap… I have to go see my nana in like… nine hours… I got this though today. I was being cursed by headaches and nausea but I got my allergy meds, painkillers & cooling strips for my forehead. I’ve already read volume 6 through Webtoon but I might reread the whole series since I finally have the whole collection & Nick and Charlie (I don’t have This Winter though :(… That’s my next one on the checklist, then Heartstopper’s colouring book then I Was Born For This, then I have the whole Osemanverse collection I’m pretty sure!!)

I also watched the film. I cried like five times!

BISEXUAL MUFFY HEADCANON! (and what I believe about it)

I like Muffy from Harvest Moon… like, a LOT! Do I know about her in Story of Season? Yes, I see them both as the same and completely opposite people. Muffy is me referring to HM:AWL in an isolated manner, Molly, as in SoS:AWL, being canonically interested in both of the gender expressive options is unimportant to this, as I believe that had the world been less afraid to push back against homophobia and be more explicit in progressive mentalities, Muffy too would be canonically bisexual anyway. I am trying to perceive her as an isolated instance to HM:AWL, where there is only ever a male protagonist and female marriage candidates, and all are presumed to be strictly heterosexual.

So, why do I believe Muffy is bisexual?

How do I perceive this specifically in my eyes? Mostly through my yumeshipping, I think the almondsexual label would fit more in a definitive manner. For people who don’t know, almondsexual is a label under the bisexual umbrella, which in the simplest terms, means their attractions are bias towards people who have masculine, masculine-leaning or an androgynous gender identity, but may, occasionally, experience attraction to feminine or feminine-aligned genders. I don’t think Muffy would really use this label however, I don’t even think she’d know what it is, she just says “I’m bisexual, I tend to date men but I think women (and enbies) are attractive too!”

I’m still fighting myself over how I *TRULY* perceive her, I don’t know if I truly perceive her as almondsexual, or someone who believes she has a masc-leaning preference due to heteronormativity and the pressure of needing to be seen as “normal” (I say this in quotes). I do wobble a lot between them quite often, as I also think of an option where she feels pressured to have relationships, because society decided that was the only way to have one. She’s definitely had at least two crushes on women in the past, to which I say three and one ended up as a situationship during a year with slight mental instability, impulsive and dealing with a recent messy breakup, which would be how she find out she’s bisexual.

My idea of framing is, since she’s 30, and has canonically been in a handful of relationships, all with men and dealing with constant heartbreak:

> From young age, saw romanticised view of heterosexual relationships and was mislead to thinking it was only beauty to behold. Started living in the suburbs.

> First crush was a girl, she was young and it was puppy love, so when she grew up she just brushed it off as “friendship”

> Started dating men, first crush was a random boy at sports who was really committed to it, to say a placeholder, let’s say he played football (as in soccer, not American football). Muffy has stated she “thinks a man who works hard is sexy” in HM:AWL. She think his commitment and hours poured into the sport is cute. Her first heartbreak is a conventional heartbreak teen romance type thing. Gets cheated on for a “more conventionally attractive woman”, which I’d assume would be more ‘submissive’, if you excuse my language.

> Straight out of messy breakup, heteronormativity causes her to perceive her platonic feelings and dependency on a male friend as romantic. This relationship doesn’t last long, but it ends well. In the moment this makes Muffy feel a lot worse though, so she ends up seeing this breakup a LOT worse than it actually may have been. This is not to say that she’s “dramatic”, I do, however, headcanon her with some kind of emotional instability, some kind of trust issues and overcompensates by clinging onto anyone she does trust.

> Doesn’t date for a while, but between this period she moves into the city and develops a lingering, subconscious crush on a co-worker she works with (a while before being promoted), doesn’t do anything and decides to, again, convince herself it’s not a crush, in this case saying she’s jealous.

> Dates a guy somewhat before being promoted at her workplace, this breakup ends up with her overworking herself out of spite, within her subconscious, wanting to prove herself better than him. She then gets promoted at her workplace.

> Half-hazardly enters another relationship but it mostly goes well, until there is some big betrayal that happens, cracking her final perfect perception of relationships.

> Again, doesn’t date for a while, but when she finally does it’s with a rich “single” man, which turns out to be a lie.

> Has a situationship with a friend she has, gets into another brief relationship with a man before moving away from the city into Forget-Me-Not Valley.

> Meets the farmer and it almost immediately mesmerised by them (MEEEEEE) , although she is explicitly flirty and friendly with the farmer, I do like to believe that do some degree, she doesn’t fully trust her immediately. But she does eventually develop trust for them, and he leads Muffy into developing trust and bonding with a lot of the rest of the town.

> Gets married and is very happy in what my head is convinced is of a fem-presenting person.

Now, onto some slightly less bulky sections:

if she is to be in a relationship with a feminine-aligned person, what would she be like?

> Tends to lean towards more conventionally feminine-presenting women/enbies, but can be very attracted to more conventionally masculine-presenting women/enbies. Regardless, hard work is still a massive attracting factor for her.

> This more applies to people who are medically recognised as female from birth, but to anyone who deals with the absolute pain in the ass that is periods, she can and will absolutely spoil her partner. Yes, this applies to transgender men as well. She’ll also take over farm duties for them when they’re too uncomfortable or in even mild pain. She’ll make something for the farmer to hopefully make them at least mildly better. They start expecting a pile of dark chocolate and heating pads when they’re due.

> Will naturally gravitate to them for emotional regulation, even if the farmer is the reason she got tipped off in the first place

> I mean this in the most non-suggestive way possible, but if her partner has large enough boobs, she will love to use them as if they were pillows and sleep on them or otherwise find some sort of comfort in them.

> Again, in the most non-suggestive way possible, would love to take very warm baths with the farmer when it’s cold in like winter. She will snuggle with them and sometimes uses this also as a method of self-regulation

> Farmer shall expect anniversaries and birthdays to be a love-fest. She is finding every excuse to kiss, hug, snuggle, hold hands, linger around the farmer, she’ll have gifts starting to get ready basically as soon as the last anniversary/birthday ends. She’s kissing her knuckles and speaking sweet words. Breakfast in bed too, sweet!

> She blushes ever so slightly over the tiniest actions… barely… but noticeable.

> Will find every way to associate anything remotely cute with her and the farmer. Sees a cute photo of animals and goes “that’s us!”

Get Muffy-ed.

Also apologies if anything seems to be worded poorly/in bad taste. It’s not supposed to be that way, I’m just writing this at 2am after experiencing copious nausea all day and taking a fat nap in the middle of the day which has been… extremely disorienting.

Having sensory issues isn’t for the weak. I picked up a salted caramel chocolate cake yesterday and it had such an awful fucking texture. It tasted great. But the texture. oh my fucking god. The texture wasn’t INEDIBLE, but the cake was so fucking dry. GIVE THAT CAKE MOISTURE. HELLO?
