The auxiliary water pump on my car broke (the plastic rotted and cracked so it was spewing coolant everywhere) and the mechanic wanted me to pay $300 for a $150 part.

I went to an auto store and bought the part for just under $150 and was gonna have the mechanic install it until I called them back and they said they don’t install customer parts.

So I figured if they won’t install customer parts, they’ll at least fix existing problems with the vehicle.

So, naturally I poorly installed the new part myself, then took it to the mechanic saying I had coolant issues and wasn’t sure what the problem was. They fixed the problem in under 20 minutes and only charged me $30 for the labor.

I went to my doctor’s office and asked if they had any slots open for that day. They told me they don’t take walk-ins, you have to call ahead for an appointment.

So I pulled out my phone and called the office. The other receptionist answered the phone and the first one literally WATCHED ME say “I’d like to make an appointment today if you have any slots available.”

He said to me (on the phone) all they had available was for 9:00, could I make it in time?

I said “Yep, I’m standing right here.”

He didn’t understand what I meant and happily put my appointment down.

I hung up and said to the original receptionist, “Hi, I have an appointment in five minutes.”

She (very angrily) entered me as arrived and gave me my forms.

OK, so, my mom just told me this history. First remember this is in brazil, and insurance pays less to doctors than private consultations.

So, she called the receptionist of a Doctor and asked to mark an appoitment. Said receptionist asked wheter it was a private or insurance paid appointment, at which point my mother told her it was the second option.

The receptionist told her they only had slots for a few weeks later, but my mom was in pain and needed a quick appointment. Therefore she ended the call after telling the receptionist she couldn´t make it.

My mom waited a few minutes and called the receptionist again telling her the appointment was private paid (she pretended it was another person), and was quickly told they had a slot for that same day. Arriving at the office she gave the receptionist her insurance information.

The receptionist inquired her about the fact she had said the appointment was privatetly paid, at which point my mother pointed out the D.A.´s office was very close to the doctor´s office and that she knew her rights.

In April 1988, Wahlberg approached a middle-aged Vietnamese man named Thanh Lam on the street and, using a large wooden stick, bashed him over the head until he was knocked unconscious while calling him a “Vietnam fucking shit”. That same day, Wahlberg also attacked a second Vietnamese man named Hoa “Johnny” Trinh, punching him in the eye without provocation. According to court documents regarding these crimes, when Wahlberg was arrested later that night and returned to the scene of the first assault, he stated to police officers: “You don’t have to let him identify me, I’ll tell you now that’s the mother-fucker whose head I split open.”[17] Investigators also noted that Wahlberg “made numerous unsolicited racial statements about ‘gooks’ and ‘slant-eyed gooks’”.[18][19]

For these crimes, Wahlberg was charged with attempted murder, pleaded guilty to assault, and was sentenced to two years in Suffolk County Deer Island House of Correction. He ultimately served only 45 days of his sentence.“

What isn’t included here is that he said he didn’t feel guilty not because he ever apologized to the victims but because he did good onto others and himself. WHAT THE FUCK THOSE THAZ HAVE TO DO WITH THE RACIALIZED TRAUMA YOU BROUGHT ONTO YOUR VICTIMS ? And then he tried to partition to be pardoned.
