i think the main reason why i dont like majority of the mouthwashing fandoms treatment of jimmy, despite completely agreeing that hes horrible, is that theyre so obviously unwilling to engage with his character at all

like, hate him all you want, but if you want to portray him, whether that be in art or writing, you need to at least try to understand how he thinks and why he does things as someone who believes himself to be reasonable. hes not a cartoon villain, hes a bad person.
