The so-assumed “accidental” touch between them sealing up Mercury’s last chance to pull from THIS looming threat. Emotions that had only lurked in the corners of his being, now yanked to the forefront by a faint surge that now danced across his heart strings. Impatience, GROWING excitement too. ( A swirl of developing wants and restlessness… )
“ Whoops! My BAD– ”
Mercury pulled his hand back, a smirk flashed across his face as he’d raised his hands in a defensive display. All jokingly, of course. It MIGHT not seem so apparent externally, but internally? Well Cor’s black magic was certainly at work. Emotions twisted and stretched.
She examined his face for a few moments, looking for any change in his expression as she took her drink. The cool glass pressed against her parted lips as the examination continued.
Hopefully, it worked. This Mercury Black had quite the poker face, otherwise. Or he was just fucking weird. Whatever, if her dose of semblance wasn’t enough, she could always try again.
The glass rested on the countertop with a clink. She gave a coy smirk, testing the waters. Cor attempted to scoot her chair closer to him
“Don’t be sorry..
because I’m not.”
