So I have a theory on fusion, sorry if somebody has already covered this, its been awhile since I've been on Tumblr.

So, after Steven Bomb three it got me thinking on why Garnet is such a stable fusion. So i started looking at the other gems to see if there was a difference between them and her. And I’m pretty sure i found something.

If we look at my poorly drawn diagram, most of the gems besides Garnet have there gems down the center on there body's. And in We Need to Talk Garnet says to Greg that you need a gem at the center of your being.

My theory is that most gems do have a gem down the center on there body's and to have a gem that vary from that are pretty rare. Garnet’s fusion is so stable because when they’re fused they become symmetrical. Also i have a feeling that if we do meet a gem that doesn't have a gem in the center on there body it most likely has a symmetrical partner, like Ruby and Sapphire.

I don’t know its just a theory :)
