The Garden
She gazes out, Out the window Into the garden. Looking at the plant. She knows this plant, But cannot remember what it is called. Her attention returns to the room. People surround her. People smile at her. They talk kindly to her and seem upbeat. She can see a sadness in their eyes, though. Why are they sad? Why are they here? Wait, where is here? What is she doing here? What is going on? Who are these people, The people who surround her? Eyes dart around the room, Heart beat increasing. She wants to yell for help. Opening her mouth, Words do not come forth. Sweat glistens her brogue, And adrenalin begins to flow. She gazes out, Out the window, Into the garden. The garden is peaceful. Why does she feel scared? She looks at a plant, She knows this plant, But cannot remember what it is called. Memories and why they are not there.
