Just because the two of them weren’t together anymore, she didn’t want it to break up the friend group that they had. She wasn’t sure if she could handle losing anymore people she cared for in her life . “I agree, we’ll tell them when we’re ready to.” she mumbles, although it seems like he didn’t want to do anything around her, so she didn’t know how everyone was not notice that they’re acting different. Kalani, of course, didn’t want to break up with him. He was the one good thing that was going on in her life and now it just seems like her life was slowly falling apart. The problem wasn’t just that, it was the fact that she was having a hard time opening up about everything going on, she kept bottled up. She eyes him suspiciously before slowly nodding her head. “Okay.” Hearing him shout out that he wanted to sit up on front, she knew it was because he didn’t want to be near her. A tiny sigh escapes her lips as she began to walk towards the vehicle to try and get the window seat.
Eli would like to think that he was an understanding person, and he thought that of all people, Kalani would know that best. In all honesty, it bothered him more every time he thought about it. Hopping into the passenger side with a sigh, he began to scroll through his music until his friend in the driver’s seat nudged him. “What, you’re not gonna sit back there and canoodle with your girlfriend?” The other teased. Forcing a laugh, Eli glanced at Kalani in the rear view mirror before turning around to look at her with his best fake grin. “You can survive a couple hours without me, right, babe?” He hesitated, biting the inside of his cheek before reaching his hand back to lay it on her knee.
