We're a small group of OC enthusiasts who, for real, yes genuinely, will just straight up read your OC lore doc and tell you what we liked about it. You may also opt into critique if you like, but it will never be included unnecessarily.

Here's what to expect from a submission:
Your ask will be responded to with the link included. If you do not want your document published, send two asks and clarify your intent. We will respond with the following:
-What I Got: The summary of your story, as according to what one of us was able to glean! Might be slightly over-simplified for comedic value, but we'll always put some unique detail in there if it's important to the story.
-Best Bit: Very subjective, very self-explanatory! We might gush here
-Favorite Character: If applicable! More gushing soon to follow.
-Final Thoughts: Any additional details we want to add!
Critique- This section will NOT be included by default unless you explicitly ask for it. We will rate your lore on 5 points and average the final score, plus a few (or many) words on our thoughts. The 5 points are as follows:
-World: Your worldbuilding and overall narrative
-Originality: They are called "O"Cs, after all! Although nothing is really wrong at all with an "overdone" plot, common tropes, or self-insert fiction, so if this stat doesn't matter to you.... ignore it!
-Intrigue: How interesting your story is! Now THIS is what you want to pay attention to with a low score. Even the most original stories can still fall short at this point, and even the most contrived origins can still play incredible new twists!
-Characters: Their personalities and relationships with one-another alike! There's so much to say here, but I bet you can figure out what that entails.
-Detail: That last bit of je-ne-sais-quois that fits nowhere else, the love and care and effort you put into all the small stuff that really makes these little guys come to life!

We accept any type of document, so long as anyone can access it. Google docs tend to be preferable for this, but if it works in an askbox, it works for us! Images too, we love them!
If you're asking anonymously, please tag your posts somehow so we can keep track of them. Tag your post as well if you don't want us to respond to/publish the version of your ask with your document attached.
Please keep submissions under 25 pages. Please. We understand better than anyone what it's like to have more than that, but please spare our free time!
Indicate if you want any critique or to be featured on Mod Omega's Dick Rating Thread. This is ALWAYS set to no unless you expressly consent.
Understand we have the right to veto any submission for any reason. You might as well not submit if your story is blatantly racist or prejudiced to real life groups, or if it glorifies extreme paraphilias. We welcome dark, complex, or nsfw topics but do not tolerate the perpetuation of harmful narratives towards real life people.

Mod Alba (She/It) - Hello! I'm a huge fan of high fantasy, sci-fi, or anything you've put enough hours into the world-building of <3. My current oc world is based around owl-themed superheroes who believe in saving lives over flashy fights. I beg you to please tell me ALL ABOUT the newest cool power or magic system you've come up with! I tend not to care all that much about romantic subplots, and will usually pass those off to my friends
Mod Warby (They/Them) - hii haiii i'm super obsessed with superhero/sci-fi/etc media, i love traumatized characters, and i LOVE connections - i love seeing how everything and everyone fits together. i cannot tell you how many family trees ive made in google sheets i love it so much. most of my ocs are media inserts and my current world focuses on a few of my super traumatized ocs, their connections to the world, and how their overall story affects the canon of the media they're inserted into. i love pain and angst and whump but i'm not too into some NSFW topics so i will probably pass some of them on.
Mod Omega (it/imposter) - hihi! Im the biggest fan of horror, trauma, and whumpy media! I love worlds that are complicated, dark, and focused on the strangeness of it all. My own ocs and worlds are focused on dark ideas and subjects that may make you squirm! I am also the one who will focus on lore that is more suggestive or nsfw in nature!
