your little reminder of how important it is to check your likes and follows regularly.
because i just noticed someone followed me yesterday with their likes and follows on and from just looking at them for a brief moment, this person also follows so many other active lìfťing blogs.
these are just 2 screenshots. there are many more people who are followed by this person.
i can not stress how important it is to be diligent with BLOCKING THESE PEOPLE. if you're feeling nice, you can send them a message telling them to turn off their likes and follows.
but at the end of the day
THIS PERSON HAS ESSENTIALLY CREATED A PUBLIC DATABASE OF EVERY ACTIVE ĹIFTIÑG BLOG.
and i want you guys to understand that i am not exaggerating when i say that. tumblr is an incredibly public space for us to be posting what we are. its only a good platform for us to stay on so long as we are staying anonymous, keeping our community to ourselves, and excluding those who dont know what the hell theyre doing.
its double the issue when i see so many newer blogs putting weirdly specific identifying information in their bios/posts as a way to differentiate themselves from others. if you choose to do that and ALSO choose to not block people like this, you are no longer JUST in danger of having your blog mass reported/deleted. you are now in danger of being doxxed by creeps online who want to see you harmed (financially, legally, emotionally, even physically sometimes) for posting your silly little hauls.
just understand that while having your blog and interacting with the community can be fun, that fun can end very quickly if you dont follow a strict set of rules. this is not a game.
So important!
