Tell them you have a new project. It will never be finished. It will never be finished. When someone recognizes you in a grocery store nod briefly and become a cabbage. When someone you haven’t seen in ten years appears at the door, don’t start singing him all your new songs. You will never catch up. Walk around feeling like a leaf. Know you could tumble any second. Then decide what to do with your time.

to dear 16 year old me, to start with, I admire your bravery in trying new things with fashion but please stop wearing cargo pants now, unless you're hiking but ONLY THEN. look, I know you're boy crazy you always will be, just try not to compromise your sense of self for a man it's okay to say NO it will help keep your dignity intact and your fragile self esteem. Truth be told they'll probably want you more anyway. by now you would have lost your little friend April, what a dear little creature she was. Let your sisters talk about her it's their way of grieving, it was traumatic for them as well they aren't trying to trivialize her presence in your life. you will always have friends and family in your life, it's okay to say no sometimes especially when you feel resentment at your generosity and your ability to say "yes!" Embrace it just be clear about your boundaries (when you figure out that's something you are suppose to have). please please so help me god stop over sharing about your life to randoms at parties, especially when you've been drinking it's not cool they don't want to hear it and even if they did it's not really appropriate. You have so many things to talk about other than yourself!! Ask them questions you bloody nitwit! Gee whizz. It will take you some time to figure out what you want to do but we always knew it would take awhile to reign in all of my ideas for myself. please start a savings account even if you put 5$ a week, your ridiculous spending habits are already hurting you and will plague you for many years if you don't start now. spend time with papa he won't be on this earth as long as you think and his presence in your like will be missed more than you could imagine. look after yourself!! the battle against gluttonous/dairy foods raged on for many years but we lost my young friend, we lost. (Trust me when I say it will save us getting suck MANY times in the future). A few of our favorite sayings: Just be. Just let go. You can't always get it right. Be your own best friend/personal assistant who better knows you and your capabilities to fit a hundred things into one day than you? No one. Be calm.
