“Have you ever wished you could be something or someone else?”

Egon leaned back in his chair and thought for a moment “A few times, but I rather enjoy what I get to do and even who I am” He crossed his arms “I have good friends and a place I truly call home” He leaned back over his lab bench and resumed working “But yes, there have been some times I’ve wished I was something or someone else…”
Egon nodded with a stone face but he felt angered by this fact, that such a thing could happen. His hand tightened into a fist in a silent show of his rage but it relaxed “Is there an inn or something I’ll be staying at?” He asked unsure of where in the town he’d be staying while they worked to deal with the golems and their master.
“The school and the hospital are the safest places here. Plus the only inn here has fallen down.” He said with a shrug then looked at a boy nearby. The boy was holding himself up on his hands since the lower half of his body was completely torn off and laying nearby him. “That’s Ryan, he’s a bit testy so I wouldn’t talk to him without one of us around to make him calm down.”
Egon didn’t wish to stay at either location, both out of his profession usually bringing him to such places and horror films he had watched in the past. His attention was changed to focus on the boy named Ryan however, he gave a nod “I…see”
Ryan narrowed his eyes at Egon, but he made no indication he was about to move from his spot since John was with him, and John was someone he knew so he was willing to stay where he was. John waved at him, and seemed unmoved when Ryan sneered at him as if it was just a normal thing to him. “We’ll head to the school first since it’s the closest.” He said as he pointed to the building at the end of an empty street.
Egon looked away from Ryan and straightened up some but seeing how John took no issue from the other’s behavior he relaxed some. Egon followed John’s direction and saw the school at the end of the street “Ah, it pretty big” He said adjusting his glasses some.
