這是高重黎挪用現在已經停產的匣式音樂帶殼，改裝為八釐米的片匣。他曾用這種自製片匣組裝成手持式的搖桿八釐米放映機作品，並命名為「持放映機的人」，諧仿自1929年俄羅斯導演維爾托夫的電影《持攝影機的人》。

會使用這種匣式音樂帶殼作為片匣，是因為這種音樂帶殼有著循環路徑結構，能夠反覆循環播放。經由改裝成為放映機後，你可以搖動轉軸，動作就像是在拍八釐米電影一樣，但實際上是透過觀景窗來觀看片匣裡的八釐米影片。透過這件作品可以重新思索電影的概念，以及電影拍攝者、放映者和觀看者的關連。這也是高重黎回應運動-影像以及班雅明所言「不可以只關心藝術對象，也要關心生產工具」的實踐。

高重黎說這卷匣式音樂帶殼上的「柯達」也太巧妙，竟然還可以連結到攝影來。雖然此柯達不是伊士曼柯達，而是台灣柯達……唱片錄音帶公司，但不禁在想這殼上還有「淚的探戈」，會有什麼喻意呢？
