@artificialvoyageâ ( britta perry & jeff winger )
ârotate, rotate, rotate!â her free hand was quickly tapping on his knee as she urgently watched his marshmallow over the fire threaten to cook unevenly - not even noticing that her own was sliding down itâs stick. âi wonder if itâs even safe to have a fire like this in space, i mean, i donât know a lot about space ships but doesnât the usual fire bad rule apply everywhere?â she wouldnât bring up her arson charges from her protest days up right now, but it felt like a good point to make, anything to distract from the insanity that was their current reality. another thought fleeting in her mind made her attention more pointed in jeffâs direction. âcan you get me free coffee all the time now?â
â° itâs time to wake up, BRITTA PERRY, youâve been in cryosleep for too long and the people of COMMUNITY miss you. when you went into slumber you were THIRTY THREE years old, your pronouns are SHE/HER, and you VOLUNTEERED for the cambria program. now that youâve awoken, your position as a THERAPIST is waiting for you. remember, the cambria one thanks you!
THE BASICS;
NAME: britta perry
ALIAS(ES): the worst
AGE: 33
PRONOUNS & GENDER: she/her, cis woman
BIRTHDAY & ZODIAC: october 19th, libra
FACECLAIM: gillian jacobs
AESTHETICS: raging against the machine, a pair of probably not real glasses intended to make others take her more seriously, a deep seated drive to make the world better even if she doesnât really know how to do it effectively
A DEEPER LOOK;
BACKGROUND: britta comes from post the finale of community season 6! back home, she was working as a bartender while still striving to make it as a therapist
WEAPONS: please donât give her any.
POWERS/ABILITIES/SKILLS: britta is known for being exceedingly passionate and while her endeavors often donât go as planned, her hearts usually in the right place. sheâs also made such a habit of somehow messing things up, her name has become a term for screwing up (ie. you really brittaâd that ) and weirdly itâs a skill for her.
GREATEST STRENGTH: once she says sheâs going to do something, she has an endless amount of determination, for better or worse - to the point she helped deliver a baby just because she convinced herself she could.
GREATEST WEAKNESS/FLAW: admittedly, she has a lot of flaws but her biggest would likely be her own hypocrisy. she has a hard time seeing things through on a personal level with herself when others arenât there to hold her accountable.
ONE FEAR: not actually being able to make any sort of difference, or that sheâs really just going to be a joke forever.
ONE HOPE: that they arenât all going to perish in space, and she might get to do cool stuff on the way.
HEADCANON(S): tba!
THE QUESTIONNAIRE;
HOW DOES YOUR CHARACTER FEEL ABOUT BEING DROPPED INTO THE CAMBRIA PROGRAM? ARE THEY EXCITED? SUSPICIOUS? CONFUSED?
when britta received the invitation for the cambria, she didnât really believe it was serious. she first assumed it was some bit from abed or one of the others for a movie or something and agreed because why not? theyâve done weirder. and then she actually woke up here and hey, itâs real! so sheâll absolutely go down saying she totally meant to be here and knew all along.
WHAT DOES YOUR CHARACTER HOPE TO SEE THE MOST DURING THE CAMBRIA ONEâS JOURNEY?
well, space animals in need would be great if she can adopt them.
IF YOUR CHARACTER COULD BRING ONE THING OR PERSON FROM HOME, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
@arrvwâ ( jyn erso & arthur morgan )
meme ;Â â out of curiosity, is this how we die? â
jynâs body stilled, the question catching her off guard and making her expression turn in some confusion before she looked toward itâs source. âany reason to think weâre about to die right now?â she asked, wanting to make sure there wasnât something they knew that she didnât. finally letting out a breath, she shook her head. âiâve already done the dying thing once, iâd be damned if the second time ended up being in some random ship because of a captain we donât even know.â
@lightyearnsâ ( margaery tyrell & emma frost )
meme ;Â âCare to go for a walk?â
âof course, a walk sounds lovely.â margaery paused, turning away from her work in the gardens to better face her company with welcoming smile. treat everyone as a friend until you know who they really are - one of her best methods for deducing who was really a friend or foe. âemma, correct?â she verified, despite already being fairly confident in her answer. the other was certainly a person of interest in her mind, someone who exuded confidence and power. âi was just looking into making some arrangements for the lunar review and getting together some fresh fruits grown here. if youâd like, we can take a look over them after our walk.â
@artificialvoyage ( daisy johnson & frank castle )
meme ;Â FRIDGE - a letter attached to the fridge with magnets for the recipient to read in the kitchen.
hey
sorry, had to run out for early training - if youâre free, stop by and help me teach these people a thing or two :) anyway, just wanted you to know i wasnât pulling a âslip out before morningâ move. even though i guess thatâd actually be kind of pointless since weâre sharing the room and all now? like for the obviously practical reasons we agreed on, watching each others backs and stuff, so yeah, anyway, i probably couldâve said all of this with like three emojis if i was texting, right?Â
@thruvalleysâ ( tess servopoulos & ellie williams )
meme ;Â â do you mind if i put you down as my emergency contact? â
tess paused for just a brief moment at the question as it caught her slightly off guard. sheâs assumed ellie would put down joel or maybe tommy - but she also didnât want to pry into whatever reasons she had. âof course you can, you know iâd be there if you needed anything.â she gave a slight shrug to avoid any big show about it - it wasnât like either of them really seemed comfortable with grand displays of emotion. âyou going to end up in a lot of emergency situations i should know about?â
it wasnât that marc hated the winter or anything - he was used to it enough growing up in chicago. it just wasnât his favorite, to say the least. his feelings on the holidayâs were complicated for reasons he wouldnât bring himself to dwell on and could push down well enough, but he just didnât like to be cold. âwasnât space cold enough before we went introducing fake snow to it?â he mused, hands shoving into his pockets and shoes crunching down on the faux white powder. âi think iâm going to take up residence by the fire pit, personally.â
||       making friends was always a little hard, for mia.   there was a certain air sheâd learned to carry herself with, after all of her training, the work her grandmother had put in, but â at her core, it was still hard. caroline was just easy to talk to, maybe. she catches herself laughing, here.   â  no, i agree. i feel like being thrown into space is kind of a little traumatizing enough.  â   the idea is a good one, though. she drums her fingers on the table between them.   â  what about like a come - if - you - please sort of thing  ?  so no one feels like they have to,  or something  ?  â
her smile widens in response - part from knowing how silly it all sounded, trying to plan little things like this while they were drifting around in space in another universe and time - but mostly because she was grateful someone was entertaining her ideas. âi think thatâs perfect!â giving people the option to participate or not seemed ideal, and her mind was quickly turning over the possibilities. âmaybe we can start small, like having people submit food ideas from their home, like for me itâd be the forbes family famous chili from mystic falls, if that makes sense? people could even do it anonymously, but maybe itâll help us learn more about each other and keep away some of that home sickness.â
@artificialvoyageâ ( yelena belova & dean winchester )
meme ;Â SEND âDONâT.â TO TRY TO TALK MY MUSE OUT OF DOING SOMETHING STUPID OR DANGEROUS.
she sat cross legged on top of the bar some time after closing, leveling a deadpan stare in her bossâs direction - ever determined to prove just how little she cared. if he was expecting her to veer him away from his own self-destruction, well, she just couldnât have that. yet, the longer she sat in silence, the less it seemed to have any effect. in fact, it was seeming to not have anything to do with her at all, and heâd go through with whatever he was conjuring up in his mind. finally yelena let out a sigh and grabbed a bottle of vodka for a quick drink. âdonât be stupid, dean winchester.â she leveled in a tone that dared for an argument. âi would hate to have a new boss that actually cared how often i was here.â
â this chocolate is simply divine. â elijah muses after setting his cup down on the small table. he wasnât much for being too festive, but his love of chocolate was something he could never ignore.  â have you ever tried adding a touch of cinnamon sprinkle to your cocoa? â
âi canât say that i have.â dolores admitted, quietly observing those around them - all caught up in the sudden festivities. the truth was, she didnât know what to fully make of it. it was all so simple, and for as many lives as sheâd lived, sheâd rarely experienced any of it. âwe didnât really... have things like this back home. the holidays. not really anyway.â maybe some programmed notion of them, incase customers ever inquired about it, but no tangible experience she could recall. âiâll have to give it a try then, since youâve spoken so highly of it.â
@rescuedfromthefallâ ( ahsoka tano & louis de pointe du lac )
meme ; â so, out of curiosity⊠does anyone here know how to fix a broken bone? â
ahsoka paused, turning to the one asking the sudden question with a hint of concern. âis someone hurt?â she questioned further, wanting to know exactly what the problem was before giving away much about herself. admittedly, being thrown into the front lines of a war when she was just a teenager gave her some medical knowledge, but furthermore, she knew how to use the force to heal. she saved that for more extreme circumstances. âif anyone needs help, i can do that.â
@artificialvoyageâ ( marc spector & frank castle )
âbeen a while, castle.â heâd only caught a glimpse of him, but marc knew the other former marine just about anywhere. the number of people that knew him well enough were slim, and frank had just made it onto the list. it was why he hadnât given it another thought before taking the seat next to him at the bar and ordering some questionable cheese fries - much to stevenâs annoyance. âdidnât think the next time i had to see your face would be in space, always figured youâd rather keep your feet on the ground. howâs it treatinâ you?â
@lcstinthestarsâ ( tess servopoulos & tommy miller )
meme ;Â â thereâs no soap. â
âhard to see how thatâs my problem, tommy.â she stated plainly, her arms folded in front of her, curiously eyeing the younger of the miller brothers with the sudden statement. tess admittedly just didnât know tommy as well as she knew joel - and the last sheâd known before facing her fate - the two hadnât been on the best of terms. part of her hoped theyâd gotten better after that, but itâs not like they were living in an easy world. âiâm sure they got some around here somewhere.â she finally answered more seriously with a sigh. âyou talk to joel yet?â
@thruvalleysâ ( margaery tyrell & oberyn martell )
meme ; â oh nooo, we donât have a key⊠if only you had a very attractive party member who can pick locks⊠â
âoh yes, if only we had someone here capable of that.â margaery quickly responds in kind, âwould you happen to know anyone that fits such a description?â she only put on a naĂŻve pretense for a moment before dropping it to laugh in some mild amusement. they were never particularly close - she knew heâd been present at what turned out to be the most horrifyingly memorable of her three weddings, but anyone from their world was something a breath of fresh air to her right now. âapologies, prince oberyn, iâm only teasing. but please, if youâre capable of getting the door open, i wonât tell anyone of what i assume to be some rule breaking.â
entry   :   @realityquestionedâ  :  mary jane watson for yelena belova.
location   :   trader boâs !
||      SHE NEVER THOUGHT SHEâD BE COOKING IN SPACE.    well, firstly, she never thought sheâd be in space to begin with, but it was what it was, now. complaints were futile â the concerns did not waver, but after about two months, the overwhelming urge to leave kind of justâŠleft. maybe sheâs adjusting better than most, or maybe she just cares a touch less, but whatever it is, mary jane is a little bit grateful for.Â
sheâs not grateful for the cooking, though, but thereâs only so many credits she could spend on food.
â  any recommendations  ?  iâm looking for something pretty easy to make. maybe like a pizza, but not a pizza. you know  ?  â
for someone that had strong opinions when it came to food, yelena didnât exactly know much when it came to variety - her experience in standard american meals came only during her short time in the states as a child and in the red room, you ate what you were given and didnât ask questions. for some reason, she clung to what little she knew. âlike a pizza but not a pizza?â she mused over the question, looking down at the three boxes of mac and cheese in her cart. âwhat about those pizzas on little bagels they sell? or the ones in the little pocket squares that give you lasting burns on the top of your mouth for a few weeks?â
