there are too many pokemon breeders just giving children eggs what the hell

tbh its kind of insidious as a practice to hand out "mystery eggs"

like. if you're a little kid with your mom and someone offers you a "mystery egg" for like 300 pokédollars? the parent thinks "this pokémon is going to be a tiny newborn anyway" and the kid thinks "wow anything could be in this egg" and creates an imaginary world where they get their favorite pokémon in the world of course.

but what this really does is ensures that neither of them are actually materially or mentally prepared for whatever pokémon hatches. then they either have to spend a lot of time and money adjusting their lifestyles to this new pokémon. or, more likely, releasing it and it gets turned into another pokémon's lunch

If I want to fly on my pidgeot, I’m assuming I need some kind of license to do that? If not that’d be kinda crazy

depends on what region you're in? some of them have really strict laws about flying mon (see: alola, paldea, oregon, etc) but otherwise your only restriction is whether you can get your hands on HM Fly and a pokémon that'll behave long enough to get you from one city to the next

Would anything bad happen if I (or a pokemon) drank a smoothie containing every single berry?

i mean it might not taste great since the flavors won't all go together, but if you're burned, paralyzed, confused, asleep, poisoned, frozen, in need of HP and PP, your stats are low, and you're weak to every single type then it's probably a great idea
