-I don't know exactly why I decided why draw them but I figured since I've been working on James's background lore before he gets his paradox and like freshly when he does that maybe I should draw their designs
- James's father is also genetically why James ends up going gray/silver by his 20s, his dad passed that gene down to James so that's a fun fact
- Some doodles that aren't related to the Markcu bc I wanted to bring back and revamp some older ocs and sonas

[Mossy was an old old sona from like 2020, Reilly is my Ghostbusters oc, Remy is my Supernatural oc, Reaper was my sona for a while in like 2023 and he is my CoD oc, and SΕzΕ is an JJK oc]

-LETS GO, I finished this piece after it took all day to finish (+ the short fic) but anyways here!! The sillies!! OooOooOo it's your favorite!! /silly
-also also this is one of James's loops that he went through and had actually lived through that whole life before he reset once he 'died' (which is why it impacts him more bc he had a whole life with Engie in that loop and it was the most peaceful life he's lived)
- as I said previously, I wrote a short fic to go along with this (Ive been lacking in the content department so I come baring the gift of Captaineer art and writing..) So there's that below the undercut!
"Hey! No peeking, Captain!" Mark huffed with a small smile tugging on his lips as he carefully guided his captain forwards, leaning over James's shoulder slightly to make sure James wasn't trying to peek and ruin the surprise for himself.
It had been one year, or at least what Mark thought was the length of one year, since James had been appointed the position of 'Captain'! A whole year that James had stuck around with the Invincible 2 crew and being a great leader, it made Mark gleem proudly. Of course he wanted to celebrate this accomplishment for his captain, especially with the hard work James has given to protect and help the crew and colony with any needs. Plus, Mark didn't think he would get to admit it..but he really enjoyed having James around, more than he thought he would. He always felt his chest flutter strangely whenever his captain had come around to give him more orders or especially when James came to help with the work itself.
"Mark, where are you taking me..?" James murmured with a confused tone to his hushed voice. Mark snapped out of his thoughts with a small embarrassed chuckle before helping James get through the doorway into the cockpit without running into anything.
"I know I know, we....are.... Hold on.." Mark fiddled with trying to get James to stand in a specific spot before slowly letting go of his shoulders and quickly running over to the main console, hitting the button to open the main window in the cockpit before turning around.
"Ta-da! Happy one whole year you've been stuck with us, Cap!"
James has opened his eyes when he heard Mark shuffling around, thinking it had to be okay to look now. James's eyes widened slightly in shock as he was surprised by his whole crew, all piled up in this room with streamers handing from the top of the room's roof with each member letting out a cheer with raised champagne glasses.
"I-.. Mark.. What is this? You didn't have to do all this..especially for me." James quietly spoke out, eyes moving and landing on his Head Engineer with two glasses in his hands and the goofiest grin on his lips.
"Well I did! I um... Hope that doesn't cost me a demerit.." A snort escaped James at Mark's comment, not because he was gonna give Mark a demerit, god no.. He thought it was funny Mark thought he would actually do that, granted he knew Mark was joking. Mark has let out a small chuckle along with James as he walked over and handed his captain a glass before letting out a sigh and taking a small sip of the champagne. Why did they even have that on board..?
"Man.. I've been stuck with you for a whole year... Yikes-" James muttered before slowly taking a sip from his glass and looking over to Mark, trying his hardest to keep a straight face. Mark scrunched up his face in a pout in response which got James to break and let out a hearty laugh which in return got Mark laughing along with him. The two of them give each other light shoves as they tried to catch their , Mark giggling like a kid winning the coolest prize as he wrapped an arm around the back of James's shoulder, holding up his drink with the other hand. His face lit up as he gave James's shoulder a small squeeze before speaking up.
"To my favorite Captain! Congratulations!" Mark cheered and other crewmates raised their glasses to join in with the toast to James. Mark glanced over to James with a grin playing on his face, James returning the look with a softer smile as his face grew rosy. James let out a nervous and embarrassed laugh, noticing how his crew waited for him to join in. He glanced back to to Mark before raising his glass which earned a collection round of applause from the ship's crew, James chuckled as Mark gave a light shrug and then tugged James slightly closer to him.
"I'm glad you're here, you make a good captain." Mark hummed before leaning his head against James's shoulder, looking up at him with those pretty puppy eyes that could make anyone melt to their knees. James's face softened as his free hand reached up to fiddle with his pendant, looking at Mark's soft and warm expression. He lightly nudged Mark before sighing deeply, resting his head against Mark's as the room filled with the sounds of probably questionable party music and idle chatter of the rest of the crew.
"And you make a good engineer...and..I'm glad to be here. Thank you for this, Mark.."
-hmm.... Should I draw James with his pride flag?.. I've recently been updating his character since first making him and I believe he would be homoflexible? Primarily/ mainly attracted to other men, but on rare occasions attracted to women.. At least I believe that's what homoflexible means if I'm not dumb and researched it correctly..
-also I'm curious on what everyone headcanons Engie on being, because I hc him as like pan or bi and I wanna draw him with some pride stuff so I'm open to hear what everyone hcs Engie and the other egos as
-I love bloodymary, adore them sm.. But everyone moved on from convictneer so fast and just the hyper for ISWM again like where did it go??? Guys??
-I'ma have to start drawing Engie and Captain James again... I miss my sillies
-granted I've been doing a lot James and Actor Marc... Listen, thats my doomed yaoi with James, my captaineer is not doomed..fully.
-always, please bring back the hype for ISWM and the other projects. Hell give me Ryland Grace getting on the Invincible 2, I wanna see that, him and Rocky having to deal with Engie omg
