Handle Me With Caution + Rebecca & Spencer.
HE wondered if there short conversation would end right there, with his lamely made up answer about being fine there on the bus. Part of him was sad to think that there conversation would end so soon, the other part questioned why he cared. He leaned back against the seat, his hands crossed in his lap, fingers fiddling with each other. Then he he actually smiled when she asked him if he was busy that night, knowing that he would at least have the opportunity to have some company.
SPENCER didn’t have to consider much when deciding what to answer her. Stay at home and be miserable all night, or try to have a good time and be social? The answer was all too clear for him. And he had been really getting bogged down with the suffocating monotony of his life, maybe this would be a nice opportunity for him to branch out, really distract himself.
“SOUNDS fun,” he said to her, turning to fully face her again as their eyes met. For such a confidant girl, Spencer was amused to notice how she was practically tripping under her words. Maybe she just hadn’t had company in a while —- that was probably it. “Vodka is much preferable to me than the bourbon,” he assured her with the nod of his head, small smile still up on his face. He didn’t smile that often but with her they seemed to come to him naturally. It was an odd sensation, but he wasn’t complaining. It was nice. “Although you can have the Netflix control, I don’t watch much TV.”
REBECCA watched Spencer’s fingers twist within each other, it was interesting to see his feelings manifest in what could possibly be a habit. Funnily enough it was a symbol of exactly how she felt. Nervous, unsure, and needing something to occupy her attention. However, after so many years of being told by her mother why it was such a bad habit as it ruined the fingers, the girl reluctantly kept herself from imitating the boy. There wasn’t much Rebecca cared about, but being so into violin, the blonde was strict when it came to her hands.
SHE smiled at the boy’s response to her offer, she was a social person, but she never made an offer to get to know the people she went out with, and it was a change that she decided they both needed. Rebecca met the boy’s eyes and was a little ashamed of how much she had been hanging on for him to say yes, and how disappointed she would be if he didn’t. Rebecca nodded “I mean, I hope you’re not being sarcastic, most guys would die before drinking something so girly. –– - It gets you drunk quickly and anything that does that is preferable, honestly.” She pursed her lips and looked forward at the boy, “Are you a fan of Grey’s Anatomy or... Crime shows? It’s all I watch, honestly.”
