       Great. Just great… Remember when this town used to be quiet? Ryotaro Dojima does, and boy does he miss it…

So suddenly   coming by the boat load on multiple private jets, a bunch of out-of-towners check in like tourists to the Amagi Inn. Fine, it must be some sort of business meeting– must be good business for them, at very least. But he gets a look at these visitors– and they’re kids. A bunch of teens and a few odd older individuals that don’t exactly look responsible for them. And there’s been talk of… someone hunting animals in the outskirts?

And not only that… but the Midnight Channel. The rumors are back, and as big as ever since that spectacle the other day. Directly after they arrived. And he’s learned better than to assume the cable was just on the fritz.    Alright.   That does it. He’s putting on his best friendly native smile and approaching the first face he doesn’t recognize from around here.

“ Hey! Ryotaro Dojima. Are you uh… one of the people who flew in a while back? Welcome to our town, if so! ”  It’s not an interrogation, it’s just a friendly conversation…

“Hrm? errrm. yyyyes? I am? thank you....Is there something you need?”

Byakuya stepped out of his room at the Amagi Inn. He made his way down the stairs and tugged on his coat, as he muted his phone and the chats he was in. He stopped at the front entrance of the Inn and looked at the person he would be wandering town with. 

"RavensFooled? I never caught your name, apologies."

“NOW’S OUR CHANCE! GO GO GO!” Ace charges at the massive Shadow and grapples up higher and starts climbing it, trying to stab it all the while

He can feel Raoul race up to the mask, ready to finally be released with the Theatrics of who he is. ...Man that thing is massive? What is it weak too? Does is Repel anything? Crap! Byakuya tensed in the lobby as he felt things rattle and crash, looking around as he feels the familiar weight of his coat settle on him and the faint pulse of his mask. Almost hesitant, Byakuya reached into the back of his mind. ‘Raoul? are you there?’ and a warm, delighted chuckle echo in his ears ‘I am here, Little Trickster.’ Byakuya...no Ace is what he needs to use for now, looks around the darkened area, face set in a worried frown.

TREMORS SHAKE THE EARTH.

It has been one week since your arrival, and each day the anomaly known as the Dark Hour has torn a rift through time and delivered each of those awake to the truth beyond the veil into a world of impossible stillness. A once bustling Tokyo becomes a place where those unaware are once again encased in coffin-life shelters as they sleep under a green moon. For these past few days, such an anomaly has passed by with little to disrupt this eerie lifelessness.

Until tonight.

As you watch the clock to see the Dark Hour freeze upon the hour hand, you are not met with sudden quiet but the roar of the Earth beneath these living quarters being rattled to their core, a tremor increasingly worse to those on higher and higher floors. The inevitable outcry of alarm and toppling of all things unsecured is made only worse by the sharp flicker of the lights– plunging you either into moments of lurid, moonlit green or total darkness.

And in due time, this first tremor at last settles and quiets.

Pulled out of his room by the promise of Coffee that he’d seen in the group chat, Zenkichi finally felt adjusted enough to even begin processing this whole situation. He ran a hand through his hair, almost dragging his feet into the commons area.

“Coffee…. please… I need coffee.” 

“Well, I do have a fresh cup right here for you” Byakuya held out one of mugs he prepared for the others in the building for Zenkichi to take. “I hope you rested well. I have a feeling we’ll need as much as we can get.”
