A figure is briefly there, in the office, at your desk. But they seemingly vanish. All that remains is a present. The tag reads 'From Your Secret Admirer', and inside is a white gold pendant. Within the pendant is a picture of the Burton family. Beside it in the box is a finely made knife with her initials engraved in the hilt.
Moira manages to glance up just in time to see something, a shadow maybe, before itâs gone. What the actual living FUCK? Her dark brows furrow as she approaches her desk, looking at what is left behind. Itâs a pendant of some type but what catches her attention is that thereâs a picture of her family in it. Her heart skips a beat. Is she being stalked?
âSecret admirer my ass,â she mutters and proceeds to throw everything in the nearby trash bin. Sheâs angry, sheâs bitter & she doesnât believe in love anymore.
Trust no one. Thatâs what she has learned.
HIATUS NOTICE AS OF JULY 21st.
Yeah, Iâm making the hiatus official. I might drop in every now and then or I might drop in after weeks or I might just archive this blog and leave permanently. I donât know yet. I get too anxious on here so itâs for the best. Take care everyone.

The dead pan Sherry made in her breathless state was impressive.      âWell, my real father was part of the Raccoon City incident.      created the G-Virus. And nearly killed me, Claire, and Leon.       So Simmons isnât so bad.â
â â â ( little rebel ;)
âWell, when you say it like that nothing is fucking bad.â
&-brmar ;
â youâre right but have you seen any suspicious activity that could be tied to someone committing murder? â
â â â ( little rebel ;)
âMurder? Well, fuck, I canât say I have, but if thereâs someone out there killing people I damn hope you catch the fucker.â

Reply to this.
Wheeling around town, the public bus drivers had come to known Polly. Â Apparently, she had warmed up the buses with her cheeriness. Â Looking at her phone a smile appeared across her lips, a text from Moira. Â She pushed past all the problems between them, especially how it ended up with her in this chair. Â On the bright side Polly was great-ful for all that happened, but sad that it ended up cause a rift between Papa Bear and Rebel Bear.
[ text ] Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Hey, I just got on the bus. Â Â Â Â Â Would you like to meet up at the Park?
â â â ( the rebel ;)
Moira thinks she probably should have picked up Polly herself. But she only has her motorcycle on her and thatâs not safe at all for Polly. And her wheelchair. Fuck. Sometimes, Moira still has a hard time looking Polly in that -- thing -- and not feeling guilty as fuck. Their dad had been more angry than Polly back then to be honest.Â
[ text ] Aw shit I should have brought Claireâs car so I could pick you up. [ text] Thatâs cool. Iâll be waiting for you there. Be careful.
She's aware it's only been a few days and she's fully aware she's a little too connected to Moira - but, damn, did she miss the younger woman. Strong arms wrap around Moira's waist and Claire pulls Moira into a tight hug. "How'd the family weekend go?" (gives it right back.)
â â â ( the rebel ;)
Moira is momentarily taken off guard before an open smile comes across her pretty features. Itâs a smile thatâs especially selective for only a few chosen people.  She feels the warmth of the embrace all the way down to her toes. Arms slip up to wrap around Claireâs neck, returning it. The strength of Claireâs hug only proves the obvious to Moira: she has been sorely missed. Itâs an ego boast, really, and hell if she isnât grinning up at Claire upon realization of it.
âOh, you know, my dad fucked up the cooking, and my mom had to salvage the food. He hates not being able to do something.â
Her smirk deepens as she reaches up to tug at one of Claireâs loose strands of hair. Itâs getting a bit longer now. âDid ya miss me?â The look on her face says she doesnât even need an answer to that; she damn well knows.
"Hey. I love you. You know that, right?" [[ /leaves fluff in your askbox b/c burtonfield feels u feel me ]]
THE RESCUER.
A certain affinity filled the air thicker then tension ever would, which exactly why Claireâs tense posture instantly relaxed. Claireâs head turned slowly to regard her counterpart. A small smile curled just the corner of her lips, blue eyes peering at Moira from over Claireâs own shoulder. It was just a glance of the younger woman and Claire felt like she was looking at the worldâs most beautiful woman. Just a few words from Moira Burton and Claire was brought out of her reverie. One eyebrow raised â-âIâm aware. You should know me enough to know I donât just date unless Iâm head-over-heels for the other person.âÂ
Moira has a voice mail. "Moira, please call me back. I would lknow how you've been. Love Polly!"
â â â ( the rebel ;)
Moira hates the fact that itâs turn out like this. She doesnât mean to ignore Polly, especially after everything, but she canât help but be a bit distant lately. Emotionally, she feels like a wreck, and Moira handles stress by distancing herself.
She sighs, hangs up from her voicemail box and stares down at her phone. Contemplating. Itâs not fair of her to worry Polly.Â
She types up a text message then. Itâs a bit easier.
[txt] Hey, Polâ. Iâm in town. We can hang out if you want.Â
Send.

â Remember when you were shorter than me? Those were the BEST days of my life. I actually have a picture of us when you were little in my office. I made a copy for youâŚÂ â Rebecca fumbles through her purse, digging at what looks like a bottomless pit before retrieving said picture. â For your wallet- or bulletin board. Wherever you want to put it really! â
â â â ( the rebel ;)
âPftshh, that was a fucking long time ago. Iâve been taller than you since I was like pre-teen.â
She may or may not be exaggerating, but it has been awhile. Moira isnât the tallest, but sheâs average height. Rebecca, on the other hand, has to be one of the tiniest thirty-something year old ever.
Moira takes the photo and feels a wave of nostalgia hit her. It was a time before shit hit the fan. Her hair is shoulder length in the photo, feminine and pretty. She lets out a low whistle then.
âMan, this is ancient as fuck, but thanks, Bec.âÂ

â Yeah, I guess.  This whole carnival is a freak show.  && I      think we have to go through the haunted house if we wanna     get out of here.. â
â â â ( the rebel ;)
âI normally like haunted houses but this place makes me feel like some fucker is going to jump out with an actual knife to try to stab us for real. Shit on a bitch stick. Guess we better just get it over with.â
If you get this, that means you make someone happy! Send this to ten other people on anon - or not anon - once you get this, and who knows, you may just get one back! (ââżââż

honestly, claire has never done anything barry particularly wanted. she simply stepped back when she offered moira the terrasave position. that was the extent of listening to barry burton. she didnât end up warning moira away from terrasave. simply let moira make the decision. but, thatâs the exact different between a friend and a parent. parentâs have every right to dissuade, to protect their children. friends have no right. friends should be SUPPORTIVE and thatâs exactly what claire had always been. she will always CONTINUE to be. no matter where life decides to toss the pair. sheâs hoping itâs not in another prison.  the mid-morning sun was hot. summer was definitely here. claireâs hands were in the pockets of her jeans. the last time sheâs honestly owned aviatorâs were in her bike days. being in a long-sleeved, button-up, black shirt, jeans and boots wasnât necessarily helping her case. silence lingered. moira is the one person she can trust with every ounce of her life. mentally, in all aspects, moira is everything good for her. all claire can do is shrug. she does know. sheâll never feel like she deserves it, but that wonât stop her from wanting the younger woman â so, who is she to stress over it? sheâd rather be happy.  âi think i speak for everyone when i say if a girl sacrifices her life for you and survives, sheâs a keeper.â in all honesty, when it was just them (like it usually was), it was their own little world. everything was okay, so claire pulls one hand out of her pocket to point ahead. âfast food or an actual restaurant?â her hand dropped after pointing to each, like moira wasnât capable of figuring that out herself â claire just always liked to be doing something with her hands. speaking of which, claireâs hand twitched at her side. a small sigh out and slightly calloused fingers were gliding along moiraâs wrist, before claireâs hand clasped around the younger womanâs.Â
â â â ( the rebel ;)
Why Claire has such a low opinion of herself, Moira will never know. She imagines Claire wasnât always like this. Maybe, before, years before, she had a equally cocky opinion of herself, just like Moira does. In the pinnacle of her youth, Moira might have doubted herself -- those pesky awkward, puberty years, but those years are long gone now. She is now blossoming into the young woman she was always meant to be.
âYou make me sound like some goddamn martyr,â she quips, all sass, little seriousness. She isnât that selfless. She will not sacrifice her life for just anyone. It has to be someone super important to her, and no one comes close to the top of her importance list than Claire Redfield.
âYouâre the (fucking) keeper,â she wants to say but doesnât. Claire is constant, Claire has never disappointed her or made her feel insignificant. She doesnât have to pretend around Claire -- put up barriers of iron to protect herself. Moira is a woman who curses like a sailor, dresses outlandish, attacks with her words as equally with her firsts, and itâs a means of protecting herself, too.Â
Moira thinks about the question briefly. They always do fast food, mainly because Moira is lazy and doesnât like the faking of mannerisms most people in restaurants need. But she figures Claire actually likes restaurants sometimes. Claire is a woman that likes to be wined and dined. Itâs the reason Moira occasionally drops off flowers or sugary treats in Claireâs office. Moira tries for Claire -- there is no apathy in her feelings.
âActual restaurant is fine,â she replies back as she feels the glide of Claireâs fingers, searching. Moira reacts in tune, entwining their fingers without even thinking about it, and sheâs damn lucky because how many people actually have a super attractive and equally amazing woman on their hand. Just one. Her.

âOh, so you want me to do it, and pay for lunch, and I donât actually get anything out of it other than a sticky, ketchupy face, but you wonât do it because you wonât get anything out of it other than having fun with a friend.â
Thinks that makes sense. Probably does. Pouts. Then takes a bite of his own burger.Â
âGod, this is good!â Is what he said, but it didnât really come out quite like that, given the mouthful of food he spoke around.
â â â ( the rebel ;)
âSounds about right. What, you wanted something out of this lunch? Do I owe you a fucking kiss?â
Her tongue runs behind her lips across the top of her teeth. Sheâs mildly amused by him talking with his mouth full. He lacks etiquette but then so does she.
âTold you this place was the shit,â she hums before taking another bite.

rebelliosus gets a short starter
Ňв â ||  Of all the nights for the power to go out. The blonde sighed deeply,   making her way down the eerily quiet street, arms wrapped around her-   self. Hewie was just up ahead of her, sniffing around on the ground. The   area around them was dark and there didnât seem to be a sound at all in   the air.   Odd.
âHewie. Câmere boy.â   Patting her thigh, Fiona called her friend to her and gave his head a small   pet, looking around.    âI wonder where everyone is. Itâs not that late⌠Is it?â
â â â ( little rebel ;)
Normally, a woman wouldnât walk alone at night. Moira Burton isnât a normal type of woman, however. Sheâs a young woman who had looked death in the eyes and lived, so, she feels she has some leeway for slightly risky things. Walking alone is hardly that much of a risk to her. She has her means of defending herself -- a couple of self-defense classes as a teen served her well.
Maybe, she should have brought her motorcycle instead of walking though. Itâs sort of a drag now.
Light, honey brown eyes spot the other up ahead with what appears to be a white German Shepard. Moira tucks her hands in the pockets of her leather jacket and mutters out a rather rough quip of, âI wouldnât be out alone if I were you.â
But not herself, obviously.Â
