Bree at the beginning of Legendborn: I may or may not be in a cult.
Bree at the end of Legendborn: I may or may not be the leader of said cult.

@kpop stans - take note
“The United States Government is offering you a piece of land of your own.”
“We have our own land.”
“No, it’s not yours. It’s the US Government’s.”

White people get so angry when they’re presented with the truth.
That moment when a single scene in a Bollywood film educates you about the reality of American politics.
This movie is called Kurbaan and thats my man Saif Ali Khan
I've noticed that a lot of people are doing whatever they can to not acknowledge that Toyin was murdered by a Black man. That she was the victim of Black men throughout her life.
But we need to acknowledge that sexist violence is real. That many people who support Black men or are even anti-police brutality more broadly still will casually abuse, assault, and even murder Black women.
Black women are under attack within our own community. Just as women of all races are under attack by the men in their communities.
But if BLM as a social movement is going to work out we need to hold our community to a higher standard and actively address, call out, and correct the violence Black men impart on Black women.
That starts with naming the problem. And "good" Black men need to take the most active part in addressing the problem because it's their acquaintances, their brothers, friends, cousins, etc who are friendly and in solidarity with them all while they abuse every Black woman around them other than their momma who are the problem.
Protect black women, while we are busy protecting others.
Samantha Jones and Carrie Bradshaw are basically Gentrified versions of Mary J. Blige and Lil’ Kim
Seeing all the naysayers in the notes always crack me up and I was only like half serious when I made this but look how quick people are to dismiss the impact black women have on all media!
