The hard truth is if humanity cared about dogs as much as we say we do there wouldn't be any purebreds, especially the ones who's breeds cause them to have health issues. It's a fact that purebreds live shorter lives so why do we keep breeding them? Aesthetic is not more important than an animals life.

i love how all people feel like their dog is the best dog. like, even when we go out and meet other amazing dogs, that might be prettier, or more well trained than our own. i guess that’s why we’re all on social media posting photos and sharing our lives with our dogs, trying to show the right picture, or put our words together correctly to capture that perfect secret thing about our dogs that only we get to experience that makes them so special. i think that’s a really lovely thing for a community of people to share.

hey genuine question, do cats that belong to deaf people meow at all? because the only reason cats meow is to communicate with humans, we know this bc cats dont usually meow at each other. but ppl respond to meows so thats why cats do it, but if a deaf person doesn’t respond, does their cat just learn not to meow?
