With a nod to Richard Swift who may have passed in 2018 (sadly related to alcoholism, not far from Vancouver, in Tacoma), but I only just discovered by hearing it mentioned on Song Exploder. I first chanced upon him back in the eMusic days when they recommended his album, if I remember correctly, and I bought it. He struck me like a nice progression of Harry Nilsson and that album stuck with me ever since. Looking up the info on that album it appears to also include Sean Lennon on it somewhere, and was co-produced by Mark Ronson.
