I need people on the internet to leave Aubrey Plaza alone.
I need people on the internet to realize that she, like anybody else, has a right to privacy.
I need people on the internet to realize that we don't know everything about her because
We do not know this woman further than what she purposely shows to the public and through her work.
We are not her therapists. We don't know how she works through grief, so we can not judge her based on what has happened to her and how she processes anything.
We are not her attorneys. We don't know what went down with her husband or how long they may have been separated. We do know, because she let us, that she was fully grieving Jeff and that she was still struggling with it as recently as this past summer. She is probably still grieving.
WE DON'T GET TO POLICE THE WAY IN WHICH SHE GRIEVES.
She gets to continue living her life as she grows around that grief, no matter what you, I, or anybody else thinks about it.
Moving on and being in a new relationship and having a baby hurts ABSOLUTELY nobody and is, more importantly, none of yours of my FUCKING BUSINESS.
I've seen so many absolutely disgusting comments from so-called 'fans' criticizing her for 'moving on so quickly' after her husband's death or comparing her to Erika Kirk, which is abhorrent.
How fucking dare you call yourself a fan if you've made any such comment.
You do not get to decide when somebody is allowed to move on after such a tragic loss. You do not get to decide what is the absolute perfect, proper way of grieving. You do not get to criticize an absolute stranger when her pregnancy and grief does not affect you in any way, shape, or form.
If you have thoughts and opinions about the situation, that's perfectly fine. Everybody has thoughts and opinions about pretty much everything. But if those thoughts and opinions are a criticism of how she's grieving ("she obviously never loved him if she's moved on this fast!") then keep them to your damn self.
Obviously, for us to know this news about her via a representative means that she is happy about this news and wanted to share it with us. She deserves for us to be happy for her and not criticize her. She deserves to have a happy, stress-free pregnancy.
Obviously, a stress-free pregnancy is probably not going to happen, given the nature of her life and work, but we can still be supportive and not fucking assholes.
